Went on a Wed evening - this was convenient for us but also it is their late night and free. The Danish art collection is interesting for its local connection and view of the Danish Golden Age. The art is not the best I have ever seen but it is nevertheless an interesting and well curated collection. I particularly enjoyed the modern/contemporary art which had the usual selection of entertaining, odd and just plain incomprehensible.... But some very interesting works in here well worth a visit. The new section of the gallery that houses the 20th/21st century art is in itself a rather glorious work and worth seeing.

This gallery is located in a beautiful building, walking distance to central Copenhagen. The collection of Matisse paintings is outstanding. The modern art is very interesting. The cafe was excellent. Great food!

This gallery is very easy to find your way around. It is well organised and set up. The Danish sections are the attraction of course and well worth a look.
