This is a good place for about an hour's visit.
I particularly liked the exhibits on the last floor, covering a century of life in Copenhagen. Ticket cost only 40DK.

don't expect a flashy museum and you'll enjoy a fairly quick visit. The fee was small. I found the information about immigration very interesting, otherwise there was not that much. English translation was fair to poor.

Many beautiful and authentic exhibits - such as how did the poor working-class family in the 1800-century-largest city in Denmark

I usually enjoy city museums this one had a garbage exhibition and all the other rooms had stuff thrown helter skelter with no sense of time and place. Don't bother

This is a small to medium-sized museum, covering a variety of topics, and is about an easy ten-minute walk from the central train station. The entrance fee was 20 kroner each for adults (free on Fridays though) and they took a credit card at no extra charge (we found some shops and restaurants in Copenhagen added on a handling fee).

The previous review gives a good description of what can be found here so we won’t repeat. Took lots of photos, so the type of exhibits can be seen from those we’re posting.

The building was the old headquarters for the Royal Copenhagen Shooting Society, and the large collection of decorated shooting targets was unusual and our highlight of the exhibits. These boards were largely unscathed and had lovely paintings on them. The shooting range wall still exists behind the museum in the Skydebanehaven park.

The museum has toilets with automatic light-switches so don’t be afraid to enter the dark foyer or cubicle!! There are benches at the front outside and a small model mini-city. There is a small section of items for sale, mostly books, in the foyer.

It was raining so we decided to pass the time in this attraction. If you are nearby and love museums, it is definitely worth a go. One of us gave it 3 stars, the other 4, so 3.5 average! If your time is limited, it is much easier to get round this than to try and go all round the huge National Museum. There are some similarities, such as with the more modern exhibits, but the National Museum has prehistoric finds and is a much bigger set-up, go to that one if it's a choice of one or the other.

They have a website in English at http://www.copenhagen.dk/en/visit
