Owner description: Born of a fairy tale by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, the statue incarnation of the Little Mermaid has watched over Copenhagen's harbor since 1913. In 2010, Den Lille Havfrue, as she is known in Danish, left her post to represent Denmark at the World's Fair in Shanghai.

If you have time, you can go. It is not a big deal but worth the visit if you are a fan or want to visit something regarding the author Hans C. Andersen. Take some pictures and that is it.

Quite far out of town. Not very spectacular, loads of people just queuing to take a pic and then go!

It was on my must see list and I am glad I have done it. It was surprisingly smaller and nearer than I had imagined, I probably won't rush back but I couldn't have gone to Copenhagen to get the photo, even for the day, without a visit.

Visit The Little Mermaid in a nice, clear day, and you will be able to take beautiful photos. The Langelinie is very cosy, take a walk, enjoy a coffee or a icecream.

Not as underwhelming as everyone makes out! I mean, the Little Mermaid is just a small statue in the water - but still great to come and see, especially when the rocks below are all frosted.
