“Fantastic Art Collection”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

I enjoyed the Islamic art sections in the top floors. It was so well displayed and described. And for free! There was far too much to actually absorb, but it was fascinating. Great for an hour or two. Probably not for the kids.

“one of the best islamic culture”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

The David Collection islamic exposition is complete, well documented and gives an excellent view of islamic art and history.
The other collections are fine, but this one is the best.
It is in the top floor, with no elevator. This is a challenge for those who have some mobility issue.
It entrance is free.

“Well curated and clean collection”
Reviewed July 30, 2014

As far as galleries go this has got to be up there amongst the cleanest and most well kept collections. Everything was spotless and tablets are available that explain in English what the works are. Open late on Wednesdays

“Deserves 10 in rating”
Reviewed July 29, 2014

This place is just the BEST museum in Copenhagen. Even though I have visited this place several times before, I still feel overwhelmed when I enter the house. Just the rooms are worth an exhibition. I prefer the Islamic part of the exhibition. I love to get little lost in the labyrinth of rooms, stairs and corridors. I have a feeling of being in a cave with tunnels, little dark and unpredictable. Finding my self relaxing in top comfortable chairs with a art book relevant for the exhibition, or day dreaming when starring at a Persian piece of pottery or Arabic textile. Even my kids love to visit this place. Always, there are plenty of custodies, always someone who can support you, tell the good stories to the kids.

“Interesting place, but not a must see”
Reviewed July 24, 2014 via mobile

The collection is an interesting one, mainly focusing on the rise of Islam to great powers. However, if you only have a limited time in Copenhagen, this should not be at the top of your list
