Located just next to Kongens Have (directly on the other side of Rosenborg Slot) is this impressive exhibition that is so proudly well-maintained and it being free of charge, how can one not visit? Islamic art is a key attraction, occupying the top floor but there are paintings, antiques and furniture for you to admire too as you roam the beautiful rooms. Do invest an hour in appreciating this carefully laid-out exhibition of the David collection.

Loved seeing the Islamic art! Beautiful pieces with free audio guide in English. Text around exhibits was also in English, but the audio guide was nice to have as well. Really fascinating history presented in a way that was easy to read and understand. Lockers for bags near entry. Highly recommended!

A must if at all interested in Islamic Art. A state of the art House Museum.. And it is free. One visit not enough because it is so full of information.

I never expected to see a museum collection so beautifully cared for and laid out so well. What a fabulous museum. The focus is on Islamic art but the museum is worth visiting just to enjoy the superbly kept rooms and surroundings. The Danish paintings and furniture on the first floor are not to be missed. The information boards, the computer formatted explanations ,the animation depictions for the furniture drawers being opened etc are absolutely first class. Take the time to learn about CL David - what a generous and interesting benefactor. And best of all this museum is absolutely free. In summary, The David Collection is both impressive and astonishing.
