“A favorite place in Copenhagen”
Reviewed May 13, 2014

The botanical garden in Copenhagen is relatively small, but very pretty, and with a good collection of plants from all over the world. It is worth checking the opening times for the orchid- and cactus houses, which are more limited than those of the garden itself and the big palm house.

“Lovely for a short visit.”
Reviewed May 10, 2014

The botanical gardens are a peaceful and tranquil corner in Copenhagen.
We visited them in mid April, when the trees and plants were only waking up from their winter sleep.
There's a lovely little lake in the middle of the gardens (already filled with flies), and, of course, the stunning palm house (which strangely enough was closed).
Makes a lovely 1-hour stroll.

We were there as the spring flowers were opening. They were very pretty, and it was a good place to stroll around

“Beautiful garden!”

One of the most romantic gardens in Copenhagen, any time of year. Not over crowded, and You have room and time to enjoy the nature around the little sea.

“An oasis in the city centre”
Reviewed May 6, 2014

Copenhagen is a busy city full of interesting cultural sites and shops. When you have had a fair bit of walking then the Botanical Gardens offer a relaxing moment where you can bring your picnic basket, sit down and sence the peaceful nature in the middle of the city. The park is diverse and offer lot to see if you fancy gardens. We where surprised to spot a large bird (the common crane) by the small lake. A quality garden shop is to be found by the main entrance.
