“Very good modern restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2013

Radio is very relaxed and laid back restaurant with good vibe, modern interior, high quality dishes and good service.

The portions are on the smaller size, so order plenty, it is worth it.
Good wines too.

“I'd go back!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2013

My colleague and I were in Copenhagen on business, we were looking for somewhere to go for dinner, and we had read about this restaurant on Trip Advisor so decided to try it out. Well, we are very glad that we did! It was simply stunning! The menu is very simple – it offers 5 courses – you can either have all 5 courses, or you can opt for 3 of those courses if you prefer. Being keen consumers of food, we chose the 5 course menu. Each course was a pleasant surprise and, although we preferred some more than others, a delight! The portions were small morsels (for us at least!), but there was a plentiful supply of freshly baked ciabatta bread, with an unashamed salted, flavoursome butter to have with it, so we did not go away hungry. The flavours on each new plate were incredible – delicate yet complex and simple all at once, if that is even possible! The food is seasonal, so you may not get what we had, but our favourite courses had to be the pheasant, followed by the scallops and the pear dessert. We also opted for the accompanying wine menu, which comprised a different wine with each course. The wine was interesting and challenging, and although it was fun to try wines we had never thought of trying before, if we were to return, we would select our own wine instead.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was very relaxed, and the staff very friendly, but they were also extremely professional – the food was expertly explained to us, and the waitress did a lovely job of transporting us to the various countries with each wine we tried. At the end of the meal, we asked for a recommendation for a wine bar, and she also recommended the most fabulous wine bar to us - Ved Stranden – Vinhandel & Bar – which I will also review.
I would return to this restaurant without a second thought, and I would savour every moment of it! It’s better in so many ways than Noma (even though it has connections to that world class establishment!).

“Interesting concept, very small portions and $$$$”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2013

This was our first dinner in Copenhagen and while we enjoyed it we definitely left hungry and surprised at how much we had spent. We only had the 3 courses but chose differently so we tried all but the dessert course. Everything was good but few things were really delicious. Also nothing was explained to us by our server and I know they put a lot into each of the plates so it would have been nice to have a description of what we were eating. The atmosphere is cool and laid back but not cozy. I wouldn't return but I wouldn't dissuade others from going either.

“INTERESTING”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2013

We tried to get reservations at Noma but even months ahead were unsuccessful. This seemed a very good alternative. It is pricey, perhaps not compared to other Copenhagan restaurants, but the menu is very interesting and different and reflected Danish cuisine that we sought. The tasting menu with wines was novel, bit unsure about the quantities of wine, rather small and bottle whisked away quickly. Be warned though, this is not an intimate, chic dining experience in my view - Radio has a simple, basic understated decor that is rather canteen-like, hard chairs and no table cloths, black furniture and drift wood on the wall.

“Wonderful Dinner in Copenhagen”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2013

My boyfriend and I went to Restaurant Radio to celebrate our anniversary and were very pleased that we did. Copenhagen is a very expensive city, but a restaurant of this level and quality in London would have cost more in my opinion.

We opted to go for the five course menu with accompanying wines and it was excellent - all of the dishes were lovely and were served with well matched wines. The ingredients are seasonal and all were of a high quality. Personally, I am not a fan of red wine, but the wines served were delicious.

The service was very informative yet unobtrusive and the ambience of the restaurant was relaxed and laid back offering a refreshing alternative to some of the stuffier restaurants you find at this level. Being located slightly out of the main area of town, we walked there and back which was actually lovely having eaten and drank throughout the evening!

I would recommend this restaurant definitely, but due to the price, for us at least it is a 'special occasion' place; however, many of the patrons looked like they'd just popped in!
