Good Morning Copenhagen Star
Ranked #64 of 117 Hotels in Copenhagen
Reviewed February 24, 2009

Me and my partner stayed here mid February for 2 nights, after being slightly hesitant about staying after reading previous reviews I am very relieved to say we absolutely loved our stay at Norlandia Star.
We managed to get a bargain for our room - paying £160 for two nights!
The staff were very helpful on entrance and our room was very clean, basic, but thats all we wanted as we were out in Copenhagen most of the time we were there. The bathroom was a decent size - as long as its clean then I'm happy!
We stayed sat and sun night and it was not noisy in the slightest.
Its in a prime location - right behind the Central Station, which was really handy for changing more money and getting to the airport.
We didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that but I would definetely recommend this hotel to others who want a really REALLY comfy bed, quietness, and a clean room whilst enjoying the sites of Copenhagen.
The maids came every day, towels etc were changed.
They also have a baggage room free of charge so you could store your luggage in while waiting for your flight.
I'll be staying here again when we return in the future - I couldn't fault it!!

We chose this hotel for location to the train station (1-min walk if that!) and the fact that cost was a factor (in a very expensive city) We arrived in Copenhagen for a cruise and were staying at this thotel for our last night after the cruise on 8/8. However we arrived without a piece of cruise documentation. The hotel was nice enough to let us use the computer (for the required fee) and hold our luggage until we went to the ship. On our return, the hotel room was average size but the bed was not as comfortable as I've had elsewhere. We didnt eat the breakfast. The bathroom was ok except the shower was not well distinguished between the floor and the rest of the bathroom. Overall for 1-night it was fine but knowing CPH is an expensive city, it was doable. Front desk were very nice and helpful too!

If you come from Spain, this should be rated as a 2 star hotel.
Rooms are basic, bed and tv and not much space. We had bad luck and we were in a room without courtains, so don't forget a sleeping mask if you don't like light.
There is no air conditioning, so you may be hot if the day is sunny outside.
The badroom is tiny and they only clean it the day of your arrival, that means if you wash your hair and some of it remains down in the shower, unless you remove it, it will be with you the whole of your stay...not very nice!
Breakfast not very varied...
Good location, but some "sex workers" at night right in the door of the hotel...

If you are planning to stay at this hotel during your visit I advise you to think again. The hotel breakfast was of poor quality with only 8 cheap quality items availiable. Danish pastries are famous but Norlandia Star Hotel disgraced all Danish Traditions. Pastries were soggy and tasteless with bad smell which erased all hunger that could have been produced. Juice was absolutely disgusting with one 10 part water and 1 part cheap quality orange juice. Breakfast staff were rude and had the cheek to call customers back to clear the table. The only positive fact was the Reception staff were satisfactory. Hotel room were mini containing cheap duvets and a 2 by 2 foot bathroom. I advise all travellers is you want a hotel with a rubbish breakfast and want to argue with rude staff this hotel is ideal for you. Norlandia Star Hotel+ Disgraceful

My wife and I stayed at the Norlandia Star for two nights (6th-7th May) and could not fault it, it is 5 minutes walk from the railway station in Copenhagen, 15 minutes from Downtown. You need to be a bit smart walking around, but we found it safe by day and evening. Lots of eateries, a good clean value for money hotel with great staff, good location.Another tick for the travel agent!!!

The hotel was ok and the staffs were friendly. Breakfast was ok. The room was okay, but small bathrooms and some noise from the street at night. The hotel was close to many great attractions, but also close to some dubious shops... The elevator was broken and didn't work properly when we stayed there. But in all I had a nice stay there with my boyfriend. I could go back, it was quite cheep and you get what you pay for.

Stayed at the Norlandia Star for business so wasn't in the room much! The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Room very small and had a real mass produced feel. Is a very short walk to the attractions (Tivoli, Stroget - pedestrian shopping street) it is in the red light district but it isn't at all threatening.
Is ok if you get a good rate. If you want comfort or space then spend more!!
