“One Block From The Station”
Reviewed June 5, 2014

Excellent location only one block from the station and a few minutes to Tourist Centre, Bus Pick-up Points and the main shopping area..

We asked for a ground floor room and were given a very generous size room close to the reception. The room was clean with an abundance of space for suitcases. Unfortunately the weather was unusually warm for that time of year and without air-conditioning we really struggled to get a good night sleep as the outside noise continues into the early hours due to a few night clubs, the station and street level windows so leaving them open was not a wise option at night. May be ear plugs would have been the option.

Breakfast had a reasonable range and assistance at reception was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Avoid ground floor due to pedestrian noise late at night.

The hotel is just by the Central station which is great, but the specific street of the hotel is full of prostitutes and drug dealers from 10 PM, and that is why I gave the location only 3 of 5. Be aware that there are other 3-4 stars hotels in this street.

Rooms are spacious, but there is no mini bar\refrigerator and there isn't sufficient place for clothing.

Breakfast was very basic(Some hostels I visited gave a better one) so we even didn't bother to have it in some of the days. Housekeeping is available only by 13:00.

Service at the reception was great as expected.

Considering the high price of this property and all of the above the hotel doesn't provide decent value for the money.

I had a very comfortable and stress-free stay at this hotel for 3 nights with my parents and brother. The best parts were; decent breakfast, very spacious room, cleanliness, superb location and friendly staff (who let us leave our bags at the hotel as soon as we arrived, before we could get into the room).
The negatives were; no airconditioning: on a hot May day it was a little uncomfortable, street noise: fine with the windows closed but without aircon this was a difficult decision - for the price we paid, I would have expected air conditioning.

All in all, I would happily stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel if you want to sleep with open windows.

This is a nice hotel, close to train station and sights.

The Reception staff were quite helpful.

It is a quiet hotel that unfortunately is across from a loud and rowdy hotel.

Since we were placed next to the elevator (which is both small and slow), we got all the morning noise of people going down for breakfast.

The house staff started banging in to walls, vacuuming next door at 8:30 am, when they weren't standing outside my door speaking loudly.

Breakfast was mainly bread, cheese, cold cuts, soft boiled eggs, cereal, and canned fruit.

Massive very comfortable and clean room by European standards. One of the most comfortable and biggest on my 5 week trip to 10 countries. Decent price for Copenhagen. Staff was friendly. Internet was great and included in room price. Breakfast was average for Europe and fine. As others mentioned the dinning room isn't very big, so could get crowded though it wasn't when we where there. Food was good.

The location is excellent being very close few mins walk to the main train station and access to the airport. Also walking distance to the downtown area attractions, stops and restaurants all around.

Overall above average and would gladly stay here again.

The hotel is clean and very near to the central train station, lots of restaurants with variety to chose from, walking distance to Tivoli Garden, bus stops, very animated area at night, bars, hookers, clubs, whatever you can fancy to do! It is a pleasant hotel with helpful staff. Will be happy to come back for another week-end stay!

We needed a convenient location for a 24 hour stopover in Copenhagen while on our way to Bangkok. The Du Nord fit the bill exactly. We took the train in from the airport and were at the Du Nord after a short walk, although we were misdirected by the station info booth and exited the station from the wrong door. Get good info before leaving the station, especially if you are carrying luggage. Anyhow, no big deal as a friendly citizen pointed us in the right direction. The Du Nord is simple but clean. Room was not fancy but certainly comfortable. Smiling, helpful staff, as seemed to be the norm for most of the city residents we had contact with. Breakfast was adequate. Walking distance to Tivoli and the Hop on Hop off bus. Some previous reviews didn't care for the neighborhood but we felt safe and had no problems, even walking around near midnight with our nine year old in tow. All in all, the Du Nord was an excellent choice for our purposes.
