We stayed 2 nights in superior double room - had side view of the waterfront. Room not large but fine for city location when you are out. Bathroom spacious and well appointed - all very clean. Quiet too. Breakfast was included in our deal - was excellent-loads of choice- pastries and breads, cereals and porridge, meat, cheese
and fruits - plenty of coffee. Friendly staff. Great location for waterfront, shopping, restaurants and all the sights. Would definitely stay again.

The location is quite good, near the Kongens Nytorv metro station (about 3-5 min walk) and Nyhavn. If one has just a small piece of hand luggage, walking from the station to hotel is not a problem at all.

The bed is soft, as the bed doesn't really have a thing that can be called a mattress. Fortunately they can add a wooden board (called bedboard in Danish) under the mattress topper, which really amazes me. But the availability is limited.

The curtains do not block sunlight completely, so it may be a problem for people who are sensitive to light when sleeping. The sunrise is early in summer.

Room is not air-conditioned and there's only a duvet. During my stay there were 2-3 days of 27C and the comforter caused me to sweat a lot.

Room Tip: ask for a bed board if you find the bed too soft

This lovely small hotel is on the water and quite close to the picturesque Nyhavn area. It is not far from most major attractions in beautiful Copenhagen. Our room was small, but attractive, and the breakfast buffet was plentiful and very good. The staff were quite helpful and even printed out boarding passes for us. Wi-fi was free and fast, with no problems. We would definitely come back here if we ever return to Copenhagen.

Nice staff, good breakfast and reasonable priced. Located close to main city but still as far away as the noise and other unwanted elements are outside range this is a excellent choice for both family and couples. The channels is just across the small road (with almost no traffic), nyhavn with its restaurants located around the corner.Clean tidy and in shape but some rooms could do with some refurbishment

I feel very lucky to have found the Copenhagen Strand Hotel. I stayed in a room on the center courtyard, and as a light sleeper, I was delighted by how quiet it was. Little touches make this hotel special. Like almost full-size elevators. You know that key card folder they give you with your room number on it? At the Copenhagen Strand, it also has the check out time, whether breakfast is included in your rate and the hours breakfast is available, plus local restaurant recommendations and the wifi password. My room was small and spartan but clean and had a large window that opened (!) and a brand new bathroom. I have a bad back and the bed was very comfortable. The location is great, too-it's a 3 minute walk to Nyhavn, and is an easy walk to Tivoli and the Stroget. Although the room didn't have a lot of amenities (no iron, safe, dresser) but I didn't miss them. The real test: I moved to a much "nicer" 4 star hotel for an event, and even though the room was larger and nicely appointed, I preferred the Strand.
