The CopenHagen Strand is in a great location; close to public transport and walking distance to a lot of things. It is right on the water and you can see some spectacular sunrises if you're up in time! The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast is amazing, there is so much food! You won't need to eat lunch (which is good because Copenhagen is rather expensive!). The rooms were comfortable, always clean and tidy, the bathroom is a good size and the beds are comfortable. Good value for money.

I stayed here for eight nights in total, five in a single room on business and three with my husband in a double. The location is a surprisingly peaceful location on the waterfront facing Christiana, just 5 minutes from Nyhavn and 10 minutes walk from the main shopping areas, Parliament buildings, and the nearest metro. Staff were very helpful but I was glad that I didn't take up their offer of an upgrade (although you are unlikely to get a harbour view if you don't) since the single room was more generous than most. Wide range at breakfast buffet. Comfortable beds.

My husband & I recently stayed here for 2 nights as part of a Christmas trip to Copenhagen.
The hotel is located on the water, approx 15 mins walk from central copenhagen, and only a 5 min stroll to the famous Nyhavn. Metro from the airport is very easy, 20 mins direct from airport to the nearest station Kongens Nytorv. It is then about 10/15 min walk to the hotel. The hotel are happy to store baggage before/ after checkout.

The hotel itself is a typical European hotel by all standards. Rooms were ok for size and clean, although the wooden furniture was looking a little dated and worn. We had 2 single beds pushed together which was not ideal but as part of a city break we barely spent any time in our room. Copenhagen is a very expensive city so this hotel was great value for money as we included the breakfast option. The breakfast had an excellent continental selection.

We found the Danish people very polite in general however some of the employees of the hotel could possibly improve on their service and manners. The lady on checkin was quite 'pushy' for us to pay to upgrade, and the staff serving breakfast were definitely not Danish as their manners and general courtesy need improving. There were 3 members of staff at breakfast, all who were looking dirty and scruffy. They lacked general politeness whilst clearing and cleaning tables with people still eating, throwing dirty plates and cutlery into their trolley splashing dirty water over nearby guests. A table next to us asked for more coffee (as you had to fight for coffee pots), the waiter then grunted and just dumped a new coffee pot on their table whilst rolling his eyes!! I felt that in all the staff at breakfast really let the standards of this hotel down. Was a shame really as the breakfast offered a good standard and variety.

Overall this was a decent stay. Not sure I would rush back to this hotel on a future visit to Copenhagen however at a decent price I wouldn't rule it out.

I tend to stay here when I come on business trips as I find the location good, approx 15 min walk to where it becomes "central" in the city and about 20 min walk to the office.
Staff polite, the bar is at the end of reception, so you are not able to sit by the bar, but rather sit on a sofa opposite.
Always find the rooms to be fine, with the exception of them sometimes looking a bit tired, and if your room is not at the front over looking the water, then you will face a courtyard which is pretty grim to have as a view.
Breakfast is reasonable, but on this visit there was no Bacon / scrambled eggs etc, this seems to have been replaced by porridge....

This friendly budget hotel is close to everything Copenhagen has to offer and a good pick for a mini break. They will try to get you to upgrade on arrival, not sure if it's worth it. Didn't get around to trying the breakfast, so many lovely places in Nyhavn to try instead. So all in all a convenient, centrally located no frills hotel.

First the good things:
Nice location, about 7 minutes walk to Kongens Nytorv and the start of Strøget. Nice area facing the canal.
Friendly hotel reception staff that was helpful and attentive.

And the not so good...:
A somewhat worn down hotel.
Average room on the smaller end of scale.
A lot of textiles in room that I personally always find a bit unhygienic.
Everything you need but when a hotel gets old and hasn´t got any attention interior wise it doesn´t feel as clean as it might be.
Water was changing temperature meanwhile in shower. HOT!
The absolute worst was breakfast. Staff was loud and shouted to each other when they tried to find a table for us.
Buffet wasn´t full. Everywhere something missing, forks, cups, butter... and so on.
Very noisy also as staff was sorting out the dishes in the middle of the tables.
I would say that it is a recommendable hotel if you get a discount or an offer. In my meaning worth about €100 per night.

Lovely hotel right on the harbour and within easy walking distance of all the sights and shops of Copenhagen. My room on the 5th floor was lovely, modern bathroom and cosy bed and a small balcony. The staff on the front desk were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was very good with a good choice of cereals, fruit, eggs, cold meats and cheeses and lovely Danish pastries plus a flask of hot coffee waiting on your table. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Copenhagen.
