Awesome experience. Great location. Would recommend for sure! The service was out of this world. From the front desk to the cleaners. All very helpful and super nice. Choose the junior suite. It's on two floors with a great little window looking over the water. I'd return for sure

We spent a couple of nights there and really enjoyed our staying. The room was nice, very clean and comfortable. The staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a perfect position: close to Metro station, close to Nyhavn, facing the Operahouse.

This hotel is a short walk from the old town of Copenhagen. And the views from the room were very nice facing the water. The junior suite was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very helpful, and the breakfast buffet was very nice.

Had a wonderful weekend in Copenhagen at the Admiral Hotel. The room was great - bigger than I expected from the reviews - and full of character, as is the entire hotel. The location perfect for walking to restaurants and sights. And the breakfast was wonderful - great variety. The staff were great - especially the bar staff in the lobby bar! Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Next time would book a room with waterside view if one were available!

Unlike a previous reviewer, I had really good food here. Salt restaurant was very busy but the staff were attentive but unobtrusive. Breakfast also was a huge range of choice. The room was large and full of character. Almost every room has a tiny balcony with sliding door, overlooking either the road or water. Mine looked over the road, but I wasn't disturbed by noise. Would recommend.

I can not say enough about the front desk staff at the Admiral Hotel. In particular Christine was amazing!!! Friendly, helpful, efficient, knowledgable what more can you ask for. She made our day every day that we saw her, and was missed on her days off. Great young lady wish she worked for my company. Also of a similar high quality was a nice young guy named Esben, another top notch employee. Now to the property... breakfast was great, lunches equally as good. Service in the bar was decent but not over the top. Meeting rooms are a bit chopped up with the center beams but the hotel accommodates by providing two projectors so in most areas of the room visibility is acceptable. Difficult room however for the facilitators. Guest rooms were average +. We had a loft suite which was interesting, the stairs leading up could be challenging under the right circumstances. For the over 45 crowd who likely need to get up in the night this room may not be your thing. As far as room size, by European standards quite good. The safe was poorly placed making it difficult to use. Beds were of decent quality and the rooms were quiet. from a location perspective, perfect. The city of CPH is fabulous and the people are warm and friendly, food is exceptional throughout CPH. Again special shout out to Christine and Esben, the GM of Admiral has real winners in these two great people!!!

Family of four, 3 adults, one teenager stayed comfortably at this hotel. Very unique nautical interior and our room included a spiral staircase to a loft sleeping area. Had good "wow" factor when you walked in. Hotel caters to large tour groups as well, so not an intimate stay but we thought the hotel was very good. Breakfast was outstanding spread, but somewhat crowded because of the groups.

Location was convenient for seeing the sights of the city. Short and pleasant walk to the "new harbor" area and all other points of interest. Close enough that we could see things, return to the hotel and go out again. Concierge was very helpful with directions and dinner suggestions. Outdoor dining/drinking area was very, very nice - right on the water.

This hotel is a very good option when visiting Copenhagen

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor with the lofts, facing the water would be preferred.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Next door to royal residence Amalienborg Palace and just a short walk from Nyhavn, this imposing 200-year-old former granary warehouse is one of the largest hotels in the city, with 366 rooms - but don't let that put you off. It may not be boutique but big can definitely be beautiful. Beyond the two cast iron canons at the entrance is a neon-pink bar (great for a pre-dinner tipple), while guests retire to rooms showing off classic Danish touches such as teak furniture, low ceilings and original wooden beams. Best of all are the panoramas across the water towards the city's shiny Opera House and Christiania: a view fit for royalty. ... more   less
