“Avoid the apartments, they don't deserve what you pay for”

Traveling whole family: 2 grandpas, 4 children and couple. The only way to accommodate all 8 was to hire 2 apartments. Big mistake!! Poorly furbished, five steps on entrance so you need to lift your luggage. Only ONE elevator (to name it so-what) on a 6 floor building, 4 apartments each level, and hardly 4 people allowed inside!!!!

Definitely, my first and LAST time in Ascot Apartments. The hotel hall looked better, and so the brochure. But taking into account what pictures seemed, actual we occupied was nothing to look like. Bad luck? I'll never know.

The hotel is one block from numerous buses and 2 blocks from Tivoli and 5 blocks from entrance to The Shopping Street. Hotel is in an old historic building that is attractive and well maintained. We booked an apartment which had a living room/kitchen and a small bedroom...The sofa bed in the living room is good for 2 children...There are bars and restaurants in the area and we even walked quite a ways to Nye Haven from the Hotel. The staff was helpful and the hotel was clean and very busy...We would stay there again

We stayed in the apartment on the fifth floor. Can't speak for what the hotel rooms look like. Don't really have anything to complain about. Location was good, near to the main train station but not too far of a walk to centre and all the sights. It is really close to Tivoli Gardens. It is an old building as most are in Copenhagen, so there were bizarre configurations of space in the apartments, like a very long and large cupboard behind the bathroom. The shower and the toilet were also separate rooms in diametrically opposite corners of the space which can be a bit annoying as you have to enter the bedroom to use the shower and then exit it to use the bathroom. Could be tricky if there are more than two of you but nothing too difficult. But it was sufficiently clean, comfortable and convenient.

In terms of service, it was largely good and friendly. There was one receptionist who was a tad rude but the rest of the ladies were very nice.

I booked to stay in the Ascot last month, not knowing what to expect, but when I was leaving, I realised I had struck gold on both the location front and great staff.

In terms of location, you are basically a couple of hundred yards from the train station, and right next to city hall square, which is understandably the focal/meeting point for a lot of tour groups/services.

Hotel was very clean, staff extremely friendly (especially when I requested an iron/ironing board, this was delivered to my room within 10 minutes of my request) and all in all it was a very enjoyable stay.

If you are looking for something right in the heart of Copenhagen, and allows you to easily get round the city centre, then the Ascot Hotel is the best place for you to be based

This hotel is the worse that I've visited in Copenhagen. I've booked a 4 star hotel with a regular room, but at my arrival the hotel was full! As result I was moved in an apartment, not cleaned, not confortable and without bed!! The first night I slept in a sofa!!! Very bad for a central hotel in one of the best city in Europe!

Stayed for a meeting in June.

My room was nicely furnished, clean and comfortable. Good central location close to Tivoli Gardens. Restaurant choices were nice, breakfast was average.

Meeting facilities were ok, nothing special but very adequate

While this hotel is not for everyone, it was located in a great spot, close to Tivoli, Nyhavn and other great sights. It was clean and well-maintained. Like other European hotels, it did have its quirks, most having to do with a strange layout and stairs that made it difficult to get luggage to rooms. The price is right. We paid an extra person fee when travelling with three people, but the rooms on both end of our trip (we stayed there twice) were large. The second time we had a whole apartment to ourselves. It can be a bit busy/noisy on weekends and is not air conditioned.
