On a recent trip to Copenhagen, we stayed in the Norrebro district of Copenhagen. This is a lively area a short walk from the centre of Copenhagen. Our host, Andreas recommended this restaurant and visits there often. It took us a couple of tries. The first time they were packed, the second time we had reservations. I would recommend them.

It was a little crisp to sit outside even though some people did. We found the interior to be warm and inviting. Space is fully and efficiently utilized. We were greeted in a friendly manner and the warm and hospitable service was consistent throughout our visit.

We started with a couple of glasses of Cava and appetizers. The Fine de Claire oysters were delicious. For the main course; 300gr Entrecôte and Dorade were order. To drink with the entrees, a glass of Rioja and another of Riesling. Both entrees were cooked well and had full and fresh flavors.

The quantities were such that we choose not to have dessert.

Overall, a very nice dinner. This restaurant is recommended when in Norrebro, Copenhagen.

Despite a plate of six manhandled oysters (Fine de Claire) – they had been brutally separated from the half shell and placed haphazardly back in, one of them with what looked like fork holes in it, and there was no salty sea water/oyster juice left (a far cry from the crisp, freshness you can get at, for example, Orangeriet in Copenhagen), I really want to give this place a good rating. The wait staff was friendly and engaged and the rest of the meal was great for the price.

This being our first time here, after the oyster incident we chose the seafood platter for two. Very satisfying, indeed! Next time we know what individual shellfish dishes to concentrate on.

For the main course my daughter chose the tournedos and I chose the whole grilled bream. Both were cooked just right and were accompanied by a simple salad and deliciously seasoned French fries. A good wine helped us feel as if we were dining by the Mediterranean while on vacation.

We will definitely go there again!

The concept is simple: a choice of mussels, clamps, lobster and soft shell crab for starters and then steak or fish for the main. The main course is always served with home-made fries with thyme salt and a simple salad with a vinaigrette.

We opted to share some blue mussels with a delicious parsley pesto, some lovely grilled scallops with lemon and a few delicious deep-fried soft-shell crabs served with a chili-mayo with a little bit of bite. Despite the place being packed the waiter took her time to suggest portion sizes as you pay by the 100 gs, and she was spot on.

For the mains we each had a steak (fillet and rib-eye), both beautifully cooked as requested (bleu/rare) and the meat was delicious and tender and the sides were great. We left feeling very full and satisfied. With a bottle of wine the bill came to about a 100£ which is decent for Copenhagen.

This is excellent, simple food, don't expect Michelin-style ingenuity or extremely exotic ingredients, instead it is a great place to enjoy lovely food with a group of friends!

I have been to this restaurant several times and I never get disappointed. Always stuffed and noisy. The prises are reasonable.

Went to Copenhagen with 4 girlfriends for a quick weekend. Found Oysters and Grill on a website "Spotted by locals" and was very happy with the choice! The menu is simple, primarily seafood with a few steak options. Ordered a few starters and tried all three mains across the group and all were delicious. Whilst the options are minimal, they were all done really well. (Keep in mind if you order the steaks medium rare, it will still be pretty rare!)
Fries were crispy on the outside, seasoned well. Salad had a delicious dressing.
Between five us of with with champagne and wine, meal ended up to be about 1700DKK, so not the cheapest but nothing in Copenhagen is cheap.
It was about a ten minute taxi ride from where we were staying in Vesterbro, but the restuarant kindly called us a cab for the way back and it showed up quickly.
Atmosphere was laid back and cool, staff were really nice.
The only negative was it took quite awhile to serve the food and a few tables that arrived after us were served before us. They may have forgot our order, however it wasn't a problem because we were weren't in a rush.
Would definitely recommend this spot for good food and atmosphere.
