“Great location, dodgy area”
Reviewed May 5, 2014

Have just returned from a three night stay with a group of five friends. Copenhagen is incredibly expensive but this hotel represents good value. I stayed in a budget room with shared toilet and shower facilities. The room was small but clean with a sink, TV, desk and wardrobe. There were two toilets and four shower rooms in my section and there was never a problem in them being all occupied. Breakfast is a relatively simple affair but filling and good value.

During the day Istegade is a bustling thoroughfare opposite the central station, at night it is part of the red light district with a few prostitutes operating meters from the hotel entrance. They were quite forward in looking for clients and grabbed at one of my friends who politely said he wasn't interested. Only 10 minutes from the city hall and 5 minutes from Tivoli, regardless of the working girls an excellent location to get around the city and plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. There are also quite a few undesirable characters lurking near the station so I cannot recommend this hotel for solo travelers in the evening. Fine if you are in a group.

Not allot. Location is great, but the standard is really poor. You pay extra for wifi, the breakfast is rather meager. the bathrooms felt unhygenic. And over all, everything was pretty worn down. But the location close to the trainstation is great!

Well located , right on the the side of Train central station. Good staff , close to restaurants, Tivoli square and other atractions. The wi is charged , but I think on those day there is no sense to charge to get a Wi-Fi .

After a 36 hour trip from Australia, Hotel Nebo was a welcome sight. Very close to the central station and convenient to all the sights. Breakfast is fantastic and the overall value is very good. The only downside for today's traveller is the lack of free wifi in the rooms. Free internet is available in the lobby though. Highly recommend, would definitely stay again.

The location is great in that it is just next to the central station (On the vesterbro side). Staff was polite and the price was really good.
Downside: Small room, a bit worn down but clean. I also found it to be a little noisy.
In sum: Not top notch in terms of standard but at the rate (I payed less than DKK 500 for a night) it is good value for money.

We stayed at the City Hotel Nebo on a short break to Copenhagen. It couldn't be easier to get to from the airport. A short train ride takes you from Kastrup to Copenhagen Central and two minutes after getting off the train you are in the hotel reception. Literally 15 minutes from the airport to the hotel. After checking in we found our room to be small but clean and the bathroom was a kind of wet room shower but perfectly adequate. The decor was a wee bit tired but after four nights we liked our room a lot and declared that even in this budget hotel it had a little bit of Danish style. Breakfast in the hotel was good value at 65 Danish Kroner per person.
All-in-all this was an excellent surprise for us and our advice would be if you are going to Copenhagen for a short break, don't bother booking anywhere else - it doesn't get much better than this.

Couldnt have asked for a more perfect location to explore copenhagen. Literally next door to central train station, and a 2 min walk to tivoli and 5 mins to main square. We had a double room with ensuite, room spacious and clean, comfy bed, great shower and tv had a host of english tv channels. Breakfast was filling and there was adequate choice, only thing missing was some danish pastries. There is no free wifi unfortunately but there is a pc in the lobby which is free to use. Lots of resturants and bars near by and a 7eleven next door but one. Copenhagen is extremely expensive but this hotel offered excellent value for money!
