Hotel has been renovated recently and very modern interior. Had a great room on 13th Floor looking over Copenhagen City with views on the Tivoli Gardens. It was snowing while we were there as well so it really was very magical! Very clean and friendly staff. Wonderful breakfast!

Room Tip: The High rooms have best views either on the lake or the city - spectacular at night.

We so much enjoyed four nights here that we returned for the last night of our trip. The train makes the Scandic was close enough to the airport that we made our 12 noon flight comfortably.
Breakfasts are excellent. We enjoyed the hotel restaurant enough that we ate there twice. A brisk walk to the main station --- if you are on a train stopping at Vesterport then thats even closer.

Room Tip: On the entrance side 5th floor and up you have an excellent and indeed stunning view.

I've actually been avoiding Scandic Copenhagen while in business (believe that there are many other nice-looking places to try, and this hotel was pretty low on my list).

Still, I was surprised. Checking in as 3rd floor (not sure it was because i was a loyal member or not) but was upgraded. Never seen it happen in Scandic. When staying as Gold on Hilton or Concierge in Radison it happens all the time, but first time here.. Also, since there was no in-room menu i decided to go down to the bar to order.. even though there is a room-service charge the girl in the bar told me it was on the house.. Small, caring things, which actually makes you want to stay again ..

Overall serviceminded personnel, good breakfast, clean room, nice (even though pretty strangely layed out) room .. view over Copenhagen was nice !

Would recommend !!

I stayed in this hotel in almost 5 consecutive years and knew almost everyone at the front desk, bar, and the restaurant and I can only recommend this as this is just at a nice lake where you can enjoy it at summer time - make certain that you get at least level 10 up due to the traffic noise.

The hotel has been through a major make-up since I was there the last time in 2006. The entire front desk and restaurant are the major parts that have been upgraded and the rooms only to a certain level. The beds are still quite in poor in condition, but the decoration of the room has been change to better.

This was our first time in Copenhagen, and first at a Scandic. The hotel was comfortable, clean, stylish and well priced. The location was great - easy walking distance to the Kobenhavn train station, Tivoli, the City Hall. The included breakfast was cooked well, tasty, and had a decent variety. My only complaint would be that the menu does not alter significantly from one day to the next, and the filtered coffee is terrible (as it is in other parts of Scandinavia).

I have no complaints about the hotel. I'd stay again.

The hotel is in a great location. We stayed in room 1117 which was absolutely fantastic for the New Year fireworks from Tivoli and throughout the city. The staff seemed friendly and the breakfast choices were fantastic. I would recommend staying here to anyone. I will certainly be coming back.

Room Tip: Room 1117 for New Years Eve is highly recommended.

Arrived New Year's Eve in order to stay close to my friend's apartment where the party would be.

Unfortunately, room wasn't ready by the "guaranteed" time. Receptionist at the front desk asked us to sit in the lobby and she would come to us. Unfortunately, a crush of arrivals came and only two check-in clerks. I had to get back into line later as there was no way she could get away. Arrived in our room an hour later than expected. In contrast, the concierge was particularly helpful, if overwhelmed.

We were on a lower floor which was fine, but the elevator landing on the floor was filthy from spilled drinks. They were still there the next day. The floor of one of the elevators was sticky.

Room was the highlight of the stay. Had a Junior Suite. Nice slot doors to close off the bedroom. Small bathroom. Minimal lighting, which was tough. No coffee/tea nor minibar. Two televisions. Spotless.

The gym was small for a hotel of this size. Two treadmills, an elliptical and bike. One multistation weight machine. A sauna is available as well.

Breakfast was plentiful and frequently refreshed. Breakfast staff were quite pleasant and helpful.

I don't know if it was just because it was New Year's Eve, but the hotel really didn't handle the crush that well. The filthiness of the common areas was a bit off-putting. One would expect housekeeping to patrol and take care of these issues. All in all, an ok place, but with so many other options in the area, it will be a long time before I stay here again.
