We stayed here last weekend, and was stunned. The value for money is excellent, and was taken away by the interior design, the very helpful and friendly staff, and the great location.
Very good, Danish breakfast!
Highly recommendable!

This newly renovated hotel is a great value in a spendy city. Located in a convenient location just blocks from the Central Station, this hotel is close to many fun restaurants and easy to get many places all around town. Rooms are small but well designed so there feels like plenty of space. Very clean and hip feel to the rooms and common spaces. Plus you can rent bikes directly from the hotel for jetting around town like a local!

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the courtyard if you want quiet.

Stayed May 24 & 25 single room. Facilities excellent, clean and thoughtful. Amazing location one minute walk to central station, five mins to Tivoli and ten to the Stroget. Rates reasonable, room I had was with the best will a little small but the bathroom was ave size. Worth a go I have been to Dennark a hundred times and have paid more for less. If you want something different to do try the Copenhagen Segway tour ( google it ). Breakfast is average but typical of Cph.

We came to Andersen after a few failed attempts to stay elsewhere in Copenhagen: all of the hotels were very badly kept, had mold in bathrooms that disgusted us and presented a health hazard. We found out that Anderson only opened a month before our stay, so we decided it was not enough time for mold to grow :) We were correct. The rooms and the bathrooms were freshly refurbished and wonderful to stay in, and we thoroughly enjoyed our whole stay!

The staff was very warm and accomodating, especially amazing Sean (not sure if that's the correct spelling, but kudos to you, man, you helped a lot!) We received a lot of good advice from him, which helped us save a ton of money (like exchange places and cOPENhagen cards). And when the hotel was fully booked, and we needed a room for one more night — Anne-Mitte the manager helped us get a room, if slightly worse than the previous one — but cheaper, too.

This hotel is obviously not for everybody. It's more of a grown-up fixture because of it's location: a very good location that is, but slightly sketchy. Yes, there are prostitutes around the hotel. But they are friendly and no nuisance whatsoever if you're a couple of grown ups or your kids are in bed by 9pm.

There are more benefits to the location, really: the Central Station, which you might need to travel to Louisiana and Kronborgslot, and Tivoli gardens are just 5-10 min away. You can walk to the central shopping streets in 22 minutes. And virtually everything you might want in Copenhagen is just 10-15 minutes away by bus (also free with the cOPENhagen card). So we managed to have a lot of fun and see everything we wanted, and always had an opportunity to drop in to the hotel room to change before dinner.

A few things of disadvantage, which are really very minor and irrelevant: there was no phone in our room (who uses the hotel phones anyway?), our king size bed was made up of two single matresses (awkward!) and the breakfast is not that good. But who cares, when you have the Meatpacking District and Vesterbro 5-10 minutes away with wonderful kaffe breakfasts for less money?

But they do have very fast free wi-fi, Molton Brown products in the bathrooms, cool design and a great mini bar fridge downstairs with lovely refreshments as well as a collection of design magazines.

So while Hotel Andersen is not exactly a luxurious stay, it is certainly the best affordable thing there is in Copenhagen right now, trust me. I'd definitely stay there again.

Stayed here three nights in May. The hotel is brand new, just had soft opening.

Rooms are really nice. Not just comfortable for your eye, but also one of the best hotel beds that I have ever slept in. As mentioned; hotel is new, and so are furniture, plasma tv etc.
Staff are genuinely warm and very friendly.

Central location with walking distance to Tivoli, Stroget, the lakes etc.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone, who likes boutique hotels. Also excellent value.
