The brand new Andersen Hotel caught my eye, when I was in the area staying at another hotel, and promised myself to check it out during my next stay in the capital.
The building looks majestic, despite not being near the Queen's residence.
First impressions were great: warmly welcome by the super-friendly front desk staff, and the lobby is ultra-chiq. Got a room key to room 91 at the penthouse floor. Room numbers are a bit confusing, maybe designed to puzzle your mind a bit.
I had booked a single room, and while the room wasn't huge, I found it perfect in size.
Room has telephone, wifi internet (free), LED flat screen TV (30+ TV channels, including international), fridge, safe etc. And it has very cool furniture. The bathroom was modern and very nice!
Hotel is located less than two minutes from the central station, and has a broad variety of restaurants within minutes from the front door (including Kødbyen (Meat Packing District)).
I would definitely recommend it to anyone, especially if you like the whole concept of boutique hotels. And on top of that, it is very fairly priced - AND you can book the room for 24 hours (check-in 7pm = check-out 7pm, e.g.)More
