Evening started out well. Cozy furnishing and polite smiling waiters and waitresses.(our waiter was a little over the edge happy, but ok).
In a party of 4, i ordered grilled octopus amongst other orders of Bisque and Shellfish plate for first course. My octopus tasted nothing of nothing less than rubber. It had a under taste og burn, because it was burned black, and the consistency of it was most lige solid rubber. It was totally clear, that the kitchen hadn't tasted this themselves and they didn't know how to preperate this properly.
The bisque was OK, however, it needed more lemon and more character... Didn't strike any nerves.
When we got the shellfish plate, it was clear that they had good commodity, but again, it takes a LOT to destroy a good lobster etc... Furthermore, i'm not a fan of the "Bistro Way" of serving oysters(without cleaning and turning them, just opening) But at the price Fishmarket sell their oysters, i think it's ok.
I went for a beef for maincourse, after my experience with the first course, and again i wasnt blown away. The beef wasn't as tender as you would have thought it to be, and the sauce and garnish just didn't nail it.
It all just seemed like either the chef didn't know how to do things properly, or that he just didn't taste the food. Note: We had 3-4 different waiters, and only 1 of them knew what was on the plates.
Other than that i had a fairly good cheese plate to round things up.

Wouldn't recommend this place to someone i like.

We passed by this small restaurant earlier in the day, having read reviews on tripadvisor and took a gamble that a table for 2 might be available on our return later in the evening - we were in luck and welcomed warmly by a lovely waitress. The menu of the day was appealing but I couldn't resist half a boiled lobster with homemade mayo and toast, which more than met my expectations; while my husband had an entree of the boulabaisse which was filled with flavour and seafood. We chose the turbot with spinach and sauce nage and the fried sole with capers - both so fresh and delicious. Presentation was simple but the fish spoke for itself. Accompanied our food with a Sancerre and while the meal wasn't cheap it certainly seemed value for money to us - the restaurant is small and the tables close together and the 2 ladies next to us seemed to enjoy their oysters, beautifully presented on ice followed by a generous helping of small mussels.

Fabulous Danish lobster was available! Delicious home made desserts. Faultless attention to detail. Suggest you try a different glass of wine with each course using the knowledgeable waitress. We started with champagne. Offered a cosy corner setting with my wife combining business and a weekend away kid free ! Lovelyold world ambiance. What a great find we will be back.

Cozy and a little bit different decorated restaurang (with a touch of old railways). The staff very helpful and nice. And the food! Delicious and tatefully. Turbot, clams, shrimps and bouillabaisse - everything were at the best! Highly recommended!

Centrally located, this restaurant is a great place for having fresh oysters and great fish food. It is reasonably priced, well decorated and the boss is really friendly. Great place to go!
