This small restaurant is a 5 minute walk from the main train station and was also a 5 minute walk from our hotel. We had our hotel make a reservations, but it not crowded even though it was high tourist season. Friendly and attentive service. Food was excellent. I had lobster cannaloni followed duck breast with gorgeous mini sides and white chocolate mouse for dessert. Prices were very reasonable for Copenhagen. Unless you check TI you would never know about this special place. It is not in any of the travel books.

We were looking for a decent restaurant within walking distance of our hotel next to the railway station. I was impressed by the reviews so we decided to eat there. It is located down a side street, not easily seen until you are just a few yards away, and we would never have gone there without prior knowledge.

It was a Sunday evening and we did not have a reservation but were immediately shown to a table and brought a jug of water and basket of bread. We skipped the starters and I ordered duck breast and my wife ordered cod from the a la carte. Whilst waiting for our meals to be cooked we were brought some small complimentary dough tasters made by the chef.

The meals were brought to the table hot and well presented, and the waitress carefully explained exactly what food and sauces were on the plate - a nice touch. The duck was accompanied by mushrooms and red wine sauce, a basket of French souflées and a separate dish of thinly sliced potatoes. (Interestingly the American couple on the next table did not get these, having chosen the duck on the fixed price menu). The cod came on a concassé of tomatoes and sauce, accompanied by a bowl of mashed potato.

For dessert, my wife chose the trio of crème brulées and I had a selection of six French cheeses. Throughout the meal the bread basket was constantly replenished.

The coffee and tea came with petit fours freshly made on the premises.

Drinks were expensive (but they are almost everywhere in Copenhagen), and with French wine costing around 8DK per glass or 220DK per bottle (about £24) we settled for fruit juice/Kronenberg, which was still about £5 per bottle.

Our total bill before tip came to 687DK (about £75), but we both agreed that it was the best meal that we had EVER had, the service was first class, the decor (including washrooms) was impeccable, and overall we just could not fault this restaurant. If you are looking for a nice meal in Copenhagen then we would definitely recommend looking this up.

We had a wonderfully located table next to a large window, with a view of the busy street. Noise from the street and the patrons eating at the outside tables was not objectionable. The restaurant was not terribly crowded and we had great service from 2 members of the waitstaff. The menu was varied and the only problem we had was selecting from many entrees that sounded appealing. We decided on a fish soup appetizer, duck breast and a duck confit, respectively, and a fine bottle of wine. The food was very tasty, nicely presented and perfectly timed. We enjoyed the meal, thought that it was decently priced ... probably very close to what it would have cost in a large American city, and would return. We have already recommended it to friends who will be visiting Copenhagen this month.

Nice restaurant. Had the three course menu, good value and beautiful presentation. Table a little too close to the kitchen despite the room not being very crowded.

This restaurant has a very pleasing ambience and the staff are welcoming and give good service.
We both chose a steak as our main meal and were not disappointed, it was reasonably flavourful and whilst being a firm texture as a sirloin is expected to be, wasn't tough at all. The sauce was very tasty and the accompanying vegetables were very nice. Much is made of meals being expensive in Copenhagen and it is undoubtedly so. We had the one main course and a large glass of wine and a beer and paid about 600 Kroner including tip, about £70 in UK Pounds.
Wine is expensive by other European standards being £8.20 on this occasion.
