“Degas is Delicious!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2012

If you walk too fast, you'll miss it! Degas is a wonderful restaurant in the center of Copenhagen, about 5 mins away from the train station and Tivoli. The food was delicious, the service was fast, and the waiter was really nice.

“One of the best restaurants I have ever been to.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2012 via mobile

From start to finish, everything about this restaurant was superb. The staff were friendly, unpretentious and very welcoming. The decor was tasteful and the atmosphere was cosy. The food was simply amazing - perfectly cooked pepper steak presented beautifully with an array of tasty vegetables. The dessert was equally outstanding and left me feeling full but very satisfied. Outstanding.

“Excellent Meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2012 via mobile

It was our first night in Copenhagen and the restaurant was reccomended to us by friends who ensured we booked a few weeks in advance. My wife and I shared the snails and the breaded mussels which were an absolute treat and incredibly well presented. The sea bass was like butter and the best I have tasted in awhile. We finished off with the chocolate fondant which needed 20 minutes preparation and was well worth the wait. The staff were very friendly, helpful and eager to please us. An excellent restaurant which I will return to on our next visit.

“Good value for money”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2012

Have been to this restaurant on several occasions. They serve traditional french food and the french staff makes the experience even more authentic. They have a 3 course menu of the day, which is very good. However... It appears that this menu of the day never changes, and because of that it isn't so attractive if you care to come back again. But I would definitely recommend eating at brasserie Degas. Very fair prices on both wine and meals, super service + good location (close to cinemas, Tivoli, train stations etc)

“Spectacular Evening in Copenhagen”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Our family had dinner at this lovely restaurant while on vacation in Copenhagen. It's located near the train station on an unlikely street - a bit off the tourist path, but likely serving a busy office crowd. It had been recommended to us and did not disappoint.

We had reserved ahead, which is pretty much mandatory as this place is very busy. The restaurant atmosphere was lovely with a pleasant, contemporary decor. We were served by virtually all the wait staff. I don't know how they figured it out among themselves, but it worked and everyone was very polite and attentive.

The waiter who took our order seemed to be the most senior among them and was very helpful with answers to questions about the menu and suggestions based on our tastes. One of our daughters has a life-threatening peanut allergy and he assured us the kitchen could accommodate her safely.

My eldest had the breaded mussels, which came in a beautiful puffed pastry - delicate and delicious. She loved this dish. My husband and youngest daughter both chose the duck confit, which was also delicious, served in a spectacular sauce. I had the sea bass in a lobster sauce that was also wonderfully prepared. The food was magnificent. The waiter made wine suggestions that were also spot on for our meals.

The restaurant was great value for Copenhagen. The food was far better than we'd had in other restaurants where we paid more. We really enjoyed our evening at this great brasserie and would highly recommend it.
