Good value rooms, great service and great atmosphere. If you are looking for a central place to stay on a budget the Generator ticks all the boxes. Not your usual hostel... smart, modern and clean rooms. Good free WiFi
and a great bar with plenty going on.

Nice hostel in the center of city, little room but well clean, hight price for an hostel but is difficult to find another cheaper. A good thing is that there is very near the hostel a place that rent bike. The worst is the washbasin that is too little, the toilette is enough large to have another one bigger.

Kind of expensive but a nice place to stay. Very good location. Wifi gets overloaded so don't count on it. Decent prices for beer and food. Rooms are kind of small but they're clean. Bring your own towel! They give you linens but towels are about $10. Lockers are provided but you need a padlock.

On 18 th august I slept with my family in this hostel. It was a very busy time the as the city was full of people. The reception was very helpful and courtiest to offer us a family room on the 6th floor. I found everything perfect clean and organized well.

The only bad thing to note is that i found the i have paid for the room a very high price nearly double the price that i should pay.

A very big THANK YOU for Kevin.

Room Tip: Always ask for the rooms with bath. They are more comfortable.

The interior is very modern and cool. And as many people say, this hostel is very clean overall. The staff there work hard to make the operations work and events successful. They respond to your individual inquiries and requests nicely. Considering costs of living in Copenhagen, breakfast, other meals and drinks provided there are not so expensive. Many guests can be a bit too young and vibrant, yet they seem to know or quickly learn how not to invade privacy of others. You will enjoy every minute of it.

However, how much the entire place is clean is questionable. When I first arrived, there were dusts and pieces of hair on my bed. The seat of the toilet looked not so nice. And soaps are not provided. You also have to buy towels. The hostel says that it provides a personal locker, but again you have to buy a lock if you don't have one. I ended up purchasing all these. These things that you might end up buying should be more explicit on the website.

Overall it was a great place, I might use it again,

Room Tip: Bring soaps and towels as well as a pad lock of your own at least. And your own pillow if possible...

Me and my girlfriend spent 3 nights at this wonderful establishment over a weekend. Our goal was to do some shopping, spend a day at the amusement park "Tivoli", and just take in the sights and sounds of Copenhagen.

To start things off the location of this Hostel is just wonderful, it takes you about 4 minutes if that much to reach the start of "Strøget", the famous shopping street in Copenhagen. And I must say, travelling there on foot and not having to familiarize yourself with the city's bus or train schedule was nice, we did have sunny good weather all of the days but again it's just fun to walk about and discover the bars and clubs as well as stores located on the way and around "Strøget".

The hostel is also located just around the corner from "Rosenborg Castle" and there is a good park in front of it well suited for easy walks or just to lie around if the shopping and sight-seeing has gotten the better of you.

The service at the Hostel is good, nice well mannered people but perhaps as to expect the service is less then at your run of the mill Hotels, but more than you would expect from a Hostel I suppose. You can get a private room which is what me and my girlfriend did with your own shower but for the budget traveler you can get a bed in rooms with other people or a large group of your own.

This brings me to what I thought was really the only fault of the Hostel. I believe that our room was located next to the second elevator. And it made this "Creeek, Schreech" noise the second and third day/night of our stay and it was a bit of an annoyance. Not enough for us to complain about it but like I said. The only thing I can complain about even the slightest. A side note though, the room was not air-conditioned so at a hotter period over the summer that might be a problem. But for our stay this did not prove the case, opening the windows was just fine.

The atmosphere at the hotel is REALLY laid back, the music hip and the area provided for hanging out downstairs proved MOST EXCELLENT. Free WiFi which is always handy. And on the weekend we were there they had somethings going on like a DJ and offers at the bar.

Close by you find restaurants and 7/11 for most of your needs but the food service at the Hostel was perhaps a bit lacking ( But that is to be expected, it could be said that is was in fact more than I expected it being a Hostel ). They do serve breakfast at a reasonable rate and they have dinner. In hindsight I might just be way off on criticizing them for this. I'm not sure.

So as a summary I highly recommend this Hostel to anyone hoping to save a little money on their stay in Copenhagen but not having to compromise location excellence. For people around the age of 20-30 I just think this Hostel is so absolutely perfect and I thank them kindly for accommodating us over our weekend in Denmark.

I stayed here for 2 days in August. First time staying in a hostel, I chose the correct one. It's a lively place, with lots of people chatting and partying the night away in either the bar, or the tables in the reception area. There is also an outside area which is busy in the day. It was very noisy during both nights and regardless of what night you stay, I think this will be the issue during the summer, so I recommend at the very least ear plugs and an eye mask. There was no worries about security, as the hostel sells padlocks which can be used on the large security draw-like safes underneath the beds. Otherwise, I had a great stay and it was in a very good location, close to the metro and very close to the best part of Copenhagen, the Nyhavn Harbour.
