Owner description: The National Museum of Denmark is the largest culture-historical museum in Denmark. The museum is a dynamic cultural institution offering a great variety of exhibitions and activities. Our artefacts come from all over the world and from different time periods. We can take you on a journey, traveling thousands of years through time and experience everything from the Danish national treasure the Golden Horns and the 3000 year old Egtved Girl to African masks and Egyptian mummies. In the Children's Museum, you can see and try things that show how people ate, worked, played and dressed hundreds of years ago in different environments.

Looked at the collection on the entrance level. The prehistoric collection is amazing from the stone age relics to the viking plank ships. It's worth a visit especially since it's free.

One of the best museums in the city that is free. Lots to see and to learn. View parts of Danish history, art, in a wonderful atmosphere.

There is a lot to see in this museum and it is free. The section on the history of Denmark and its culture is very worth while.

Excellent collections, nice inner court covered by a glass roof. The prehistoric archaeological collection at the ground floor is amazing, from stone tools to Viking silver and gold treasures. The historic upper floor is a travel in time. There are also ethnographic collections but you must come several times to see all. There is a shop and restaurant. A joy for mind and soul, a good refuge in bad weather. And free.
