Owner description: Copenhagen's Nyhaven, or "New Harbor," is actually steeped in a long heritage. Colorful buildings line the canal and hint at a history of small-vessel traffic. Like many ports, this strip has a salty history, rich with sailors, drinking and literary exploits. Danish author Hans Christian Andersen made his home in Nyhavn as well. It's cleaned up now and is a lovely place for a stroll.

The most colourful and idyllic old harbour of Copenhagen. Colourful old houses, restaurants with lively terraces and old boats. One of the landmarks of the city. Wonderful place all year round.

We ate, we drank and paid the price! Once off a must for the experience. Enjoyed the romantic ambiance, people watched and enjoyed the music.

Who does not recognize Nyhavn when in Copenhagen. The most iconic part of the city. Surprisingly crowded but enough space to walk around in October. Even with my camera skill, I could snap some good photos. Try to avoid dining along the colourful buildings. Feast your eyes and walk a block or two away. I had a great Danish sandwich just a couple of streets away at half the cost of Nyhavn.

Everyone knows that this is a must-visit so that's exactly what we did. We decided to grab lunch along the famous Nyhavn Harbor. During the summer Nyhavn is the perfect place to sit back and relax and soak in the atmosphere.

Lots of shops and restaurants. Took a canal tour from this area. Houses # 67 and 28 are where Hans Christian Andersen lived while he wrote.
