Owner description: Copenhagen's Nyhaven, or "New Harbor," is actually steeped in a long heritage. Colorful buildings line the canal and hint at a history of small-vessel traffic. Like many ports, this strip has a salty history, rich with sailors, drinking and literary exploits. Danish author Hans Christian Andersen made his home in Nyhavn as well. It's cleaned up now and is a lovely place for a stroll.

I love the beautifully painted buildings here. Really iconic for Copenhagen. It's a must-go and it's great for photos. Just minutes walk from city hall but I wouldn't advise spending too much time here simply because the boats were not ready for visiting.

Just a street or area with beautiful colorful buildings, boats, restaurants ext. Great place to just sit down and relax outside, it is a bit more expensive of course. Boat trips are also available that leave from here.

This is a lovely part of town, the painted buildings are a delight and they are also some excellent restaurants and bars.
The canal comes rolling into the area and it's lovely watching the boats.

Whenever I am in Copenhagen (normally 8-10 times per year) I always make sure to have a meal, a drink or just stroll through Nyhavn. Here you meet chatty Danes and tourists. Try a typical Danish dish, sit outside and enjoy the scenery.

Left it a bit late, after visiting the Little Mermaid and eating at the Admiral Hotel's beautiful bar, so it was twilight by the time we arrived. The place is really scenic even in the evening and there are plenty of places to eat, drink and spend time. 26 bus from Central station stops at the end of the street. A lovely place and great for photos.
