Owner description: Copenhagen's Nyhaven, or "New Harbor," is actually steeped in a long heritage. Colorful buildings line the canal and hint at a history of small-vessel traffic. Like many ports, this strip has a salty history, rich with sailors, drinking and literary exploits. Danish author Hans Christian Andersen made his home in Nyhavn as well. It's cleaned up now and is a lovely place for a stroll.

A great area for people watching lovely street and we sat in a Cafe place called Cap Horn, we then after a great hot choc and a few coffees went on a harbour cruise tour all around, excellent.

The area is a must for visitors. Very touristy but charming. A great place to stroll and to sit in the sun with a beer

We had breakfast in a small cafe on the water and admired the lovely multi-colored buildings around us. Then we took the harbor cruise, very touristy thing to do but it was a nice way to see some of the sights we would not have time to visit. We happened upon the Royal Yacht and the crew happily waved and yelled a greeting. It was lovely way to see the city!

Picturesque harbor area of Copenhagen - loads of restaurants to choose from, all with outdoor seating. Variety of menus and cuisine.
