This little hotel was a very positive surprise. Stayed for two nights and got a room from the top floor with nice views from the roof windows :) It is a small hotel with a no-fuss atmosphere and a very good breakfast (which was included in the price) The location is awesome too, right between Rosenborg and Amalienborg and only a few minutes stroll to Stroget or Magasin Du Nord´s metro station. The check-in and check-out went swiftly and the service was very good all the time. The elevator is very tiny, so you may have to wait for your turn sometimes. Room was clean and adequate in every way, except that there was no safety-deposit box. I would definetely recommend for anyone who wants to stay near the major sights and doesnt need a five star, luxury accommodation.

Easy walk to Tivoli Garden, Little Mermaid, Nyhavn, and Kongens Nytorv train station. That's really all we had time to see in our one afternoon & evening in Copenhagen, but this was the perfect location right in the middle of it all. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Pastries, cookies and hot drinks were a very welcome sight when we checked in on a cold April afternoon. Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality. Would definitely stay here again.

We were in Copenhagen for 2 days prior to our cruise. The hotel was pretty easy to reach by public transit from CPH airport. Staff were very nice and helpful. Location is great! Walking distance from all downtown attraction, but still quiet @ night time. Breakfast were very good. The room was clean and comfortable but nothing fancy. Bathroom with shower and curtain only so when you take a shower the water goes everywhere in the bathroom.

We spent 2 nights in Copenhagen at this hotel on June 17 and 18 prior to a cruise on the Baltic Sea. We walked everywhere and never needed transportation from seeing "The Little Mermaid" on the north to the City Hall Square and Tivoli Gardens to the south via the "Stroyet" street which is a grand pedestrian only boulevard. We are in our 70's and it was the perfect location for us and was also just a quarter of a block away from the gate to the Rosenborg Castle Gardens.
Some of the reviews of this hotel complained about the size of the rooms but we found that if you reserve a superior room it was very roomy for the two of us and included a futon, a desk and chair and an occasional chairand a wardrobe. The bath size was quite adequate and very clean as was the room. The included breakfast was above the standard for most European breakfasts and included soft boiled eggs, cereals, cold cut meats and several cheeses, several varieties of breads, sweet Danish rolls, coffee, tea, milk and juice.
The staff were always friendly and very helpful and were always available online for questions and resources prior to our arrival. This was one of the determining factors in choosing this hotel and we were very pleased with our choice. Yes, we would definitely stay here again if we had the opportunity to revisit Copenhagen.

Room Tip: Our room was on the fourth floor facing the street or front of the hotel. There was very little tra...

We enjoyed our stay here. It is a small, quiet hotel, located near a beautiful park, restaurants, and many of the city's major attractions. The hotel staff is wonderful and helpful. There is a very good selection for breakfast, and in the afternoon and evening, there is a spread of excellent pastries, cookies, coffee, tea, and juices.

Spent a weekend at this hotel. As for the location - that is just great. Near the centre but yet in a quiet neighborhood. My hotel room was a real disappointment. Very small while the bathroom was almost half the size of my room and could have easily been a bathroom in a youth hostel - that poor it looked. As for the staff, they were nice. However it was very annoying to see that they did not put my luggage with valuables in it in a separate room on my day of checkout as they promised. Next to that paying about EUR 20 extra for a late checkout at 13h is such a ripoff.
For me this is a bit of a poor experience and won't go here again.

When we arrived, our reserved "exceptional double room" was not available, and instead we were put into a tiny, smelly room, over-headed from a day's sun, where it was too hot to sleep well. The breakfast was good, hence a rating of 2 rather than 1. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past twenty years, but it has declined in quality and increased in price. I will never go again.

Dear David N,

I am very sorry that we were not able to honor your reservation of a superior double room and that you therefore was downgraded to a small double room. I know that these two room types are very different in size, and understandably we were not able to live up to your expectations. I fully understand that despite the correction that was made to the price you were not overall pleased. I am glad to hear that the breakfast was to your liking though and that we scored a full point here.
As you have been a loyal guest with us I really hope that we could have the honor of accommodating you again in the future, despite this mishap. If you have plans to come to Copenhagen again, please write me personally and I will make it up to you.
I hope you will accept my sincerest apologies and come see us again soon.
Sincerely,
Kasper Jorgensen
