“Good hotel but quite small single rooms”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2014

This hotel, with interiors and furniture designed by Arne Jacobsen, is a design icon. If you've booked a single room, be prepared for a small room with a narrow bed. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and true to the original design by AJ.
The central location provides easy access to trains, trams and buses. As well as being close to Tivoli and main shopping areas.
Staff was efficient, helpful and friendly.

I recently stayed at the radisson blu on a vacation with my wife and 4 year old. We had a rate that included breakfast.
There were many great attributes about this hotel that made or stay great
1. Location. It is two blocks from central station, one block from another S-Tog stop that is less busy than Central Station so transportation is easy. This is especially nice when you take a train from the airport and only have to move your luggage 2 short blocks. It is also right across the street from Tivoli. One night we were treated to fireworks at Tivoli that we watched from our hotel room. It was also helpful to have our 4 year old memorize that he was at the "SAS hotel" in the event we were separated at a place like Tivoli. There are a lot of nice places to eat out close by, and it is only another two block walk to the pedestrian street past the city hall.
2. Room. We stayed in a larger family room, I believe. It was huge for a room in Europe with one bed and a pull out couch my son slept on. There was a separate bath and shower in one bathroom with two sinks and another bath with a toilet and sink.
3. Breakfast. The buffet breakfast was always filling and a great way to start the day. You can order omelets and waffles from the staff. In addition there is ample food with eggs, bacon, sausage, cheeses, fruits, cereal, yogurt, pastries, etc. We would eat a big breakfast which will fill us nearly until dinner
4. The staff. Everyone we encountered was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast staff and I was highly impressed with how many languages the staff spoke.

The main drawback I found was the in room WiFi was often very slow.

Overall, I could not imagine going back without staying at the "SAS hotel" as my son called it

Room Tip: We asked for a room facing Tivoli

Not perhaps the most architecturally striking example of a Radisson - and we've stayed in quite a few - but you can't beat its location. The central railway station - a 15 min ride in from the airport - is straight across the street and the excellent tourism information centre is on the opposite corner. Should you wish to visit the overpriced Tivoli Gardens, they are 100m away and the city hall is a 5 min walk from the hotel.

We were greeted very warmly by Sigrun at reception and dealt with in the usual Radisson effective style. The room was comfortable without being exciting but the view (from the 8th floor) was excellent. Perhaps because of the proximity of the tourist office we weren't offered any information by the reception staff about finding our way around Copenhagen. We had to ask for a city map - and the hotel's version was substantially less useful than the one we obtained the next day from the tourist office. In other Radisson facilities in other cities staff commonly offer this kind of local advice - Glasgow's Radisson is exemplary in this respect.

We didn't eat there but the lobby bar was quiet and helpful without being exciting and the decor is nothing special.

The rate we got from making the booking several months earlier was good value for money.

It was a good base from which to explore Copenhagen and the next time we are back we will choose it again.

Room tip: obviously, the higher up the better.

Room Tip: The higher up the better - and the view towards Tivoli and the city is better than the other side.

This hotel always delivers an excellent product. The staff is very professional and friendly. The property is very well maintained and adheres to the Arne Jacobsen aesthetic. I like its location away from the clutter of Strojet and it's congestion. Rooms are very comfortable.

This hotel was selected by the cruise line, and we had booked a one-night stay prior to our cruise. It is a good central location, Danish modern design, and well suited for group travel as well as individual travel. It is walking distance to Tivoli Garden, the Central train station, and just around the corner from one of the stops for the Open Top Hop On, Hop Off bus.

This hotel was designed by Danish architect Arne Jacobson, and it still holds his spirit although it has been refurbished in the 80's. If you like that spirit the hotel breaths the right atmosphere. If you are not into it, you will find it outdated. People at the desk were friendly, concierge was helpful and breakfast buffet was very good. Make sure to rent a bike when visiting Copenhagen, the city is perfect for getting around by bike. The hotel is very close to Tivoli (great visit for children and adults alike).

Room Tip: The higher the better!

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2014 via mobile

I stayed here on my first visit to Copenhagen. It's well located and only a 10 minute walk into the city! I found the front office staff and concierge wonderful to deal with and extremely friendly! I had dinner there and each time it was very good! I particularly liked the Kyoto Japanese but the main Al carte served a wonderful steak!! My room was comfortably and the view spectacular!! I did have 2 issues! The 1st was the cleaning of the room! It was always late in the day and I was never really happy with it!! Towels not replaced! Bed not neatly made!! Etc! The 2nd and the worst was at the casino! Here the staff who paid our winning expected a 10% tip of the winnings!! How incredibly rude! I did tell the manager of the Radisson but just be warned!! They want a percentage even if you have lost!!!
