These are excellent apartments in Copenhagen, and only 2 minutes to the S-train. We walked, but it is a long trek into the centre of town (60 minutes). It is very close to The Little Mermaid and the fortress, so the location is good.

The weekend buffet is astonishing... lots of everything, including things you really wouldn't expect. It really is a sumptuous brunch, and it gets packed with locals coming to while away the morning hours (we were there on a Sunday). Simply excellent.

The bad? Weekday breakfasts are a joke! 75 DRK , and hardly anything there, they didn't even have all that they said they had, and that wasn't much to start with. Simply don't bother, go to the Netto round the corner and get your own, it is an apartment after all, which I guess is the point... or go to a cafe.

I understand that it is an apartment, but it would be better to offer nothing at all, rather than the joke breakfast that was served. That or just take an "order" and deliver the breakfasts to those who want them, but make it actually worth the money. Sadly it was neither... good, nor worth the money.

That aside, it is a great place to stay, and I would happily stay there again, I just wouldn't have the weekend breakfast.

Great apartment, good location, wifi, pool, sauna... great. Top marks, just sort out the weekday breakfasts and make them something of value or don't do them at all.

We chose Charlottehaven based on a colleagues recommendation. We arrived with 2 kids, 12 suitcases and our dog... Robin and his staff exceeded expectations at every turn. Location is easily accessible (3 min walk) to the S-tog, there are restaurants, grocery stores and shoping very close by. While we did not take advantage of the gym, pool and saunas they were modern, clean and well equipped. The restaurant was excellent with convenient hours when we chose not to cook or were in a hurry. We recommend Charlottehaven for short or extended stays (we were there for almost 60 days).

Chose this apartment when all other hotels had doubled prices or were sold out. Yes, was lucky to got a last-minute flat as this place seems to be often running at full capacity. Charlottehaven is situated in normal neighbourhood next to Nordhavn station, 10mins from center of Copenhagen by train. It is fairly new apartment complex so flats are as well new and modern.

+ good location, not in the very heart but not far away and nice area
+ new flats
+ full equipments (iron, cooking facilities, laundry machine etc)
+ gym
+ ok pricing
+ bikes available
+ staff
- breakfast very very basic, didnt choose it after seeing
- old-fashioned booking process

Worth to consider instead of any normal hotel! Flat was about 70m2 and could easily accommondate 4.

We have stayed here twice...once during the month of December 2012 and just recently during the month of August 2013. Although December was cold, you can't beat Christmas in Copenhagen!!! Just beautiful! And August has the best weather ever. Coming from Texas, we enjoyed the weather so much. The Charlottehaven offers everything we could hope for. It's close to the train system, close to two grocery stores, close to several quaint shops! We've had a single apartment which was wonderful! And we've had the two bedroom suite which was really great! Be sure to ask for an apartment overlooking the water if you are on the fourth floor or above facing east. It was neat listening to the 'fog' horns of the cruise arriving/departures that are located just across the train station (Norrhavn) ...you can see them pull out if you are high enough. We will be returning in 2014 and plan to stay there again. The staff becomes like family!

Also...the train system is awesome. Hop on it and you're in downtown Copenhagen in 10 minutes. Or go north to Helsingor (30 minutes) and ride on the ferry to Helsingbord, Sweden for the day! So much to do!

Room Tip: Ask for 4th floor or above facing east if you want to view the ships coming and going. Otherwise...

We had a long weekend break in copenhagen and charlottehaven was a great place to stay. We have a one year old and having the amenities of a fully equipped apartment was great. It also has a really nice restaurant (amazing brunch) and state of the art gym. The staff went out of their way to make our stay better, for example booking a car on Sunday at short notice and having it dropped off to us. They brought us cup cakes on our first night. The hotel is a great base to explore copenhagen and also the areas to the north such as louisiana art museum. Just know it is a long walk from the town centre but it is in a very nice neighbourhood itself. There is a train station nearby which only takes 10 min into the town centre. The interior of the hotel is really cool and if you are a fan of danish design and architecture you will not be disappointed.

We stayed for 8 days after a Norwegian cruise and found that it had all the advantages of having your own apartment, plus the advantages of a hotel with reception and helpful staff. On top of this, it is 2 minutes from the Nordhavn Station, has a swimming pool and gymnasium and is in a quiet suburb. The rooms are large, clean and have storage and very good quality appliances. It was a great way to finish a wonderful holiday. I would highly recommend it to anyone who prefers not to be right in the centre of the city and likes a bit of space.

Charlottehaven seems to have a business plan that works all the time. We use the place for summertime stay-overs in Denmark and i have used it as hotel as well. And every time you are welcomed professionally but still with a great portion of human sense by the staff, who are always helpful and friendly.
We have used both the Penthouse and the "smaller" flats and both types are really top class. Clearly the Penthouse takes you to top floor with perfect views and lots of space incl two terraces, but the smaller flats don't leave you in the "dark" as they have plenty space and single terrace as well. The quality of beds, kitchen, furniture is in the high end range and with a high quality air-conditioning you can control temperature as you wish....absolutely recommendable.
