The line to buy tickets was long and slow. Then they made you put any bags, etc into a locker which was an additional fee, before finally entering the castle. That is when I had to pay an additional $5ish dollars to be able to take photos. They charge for everything! The first few rooms of the castle are neat, but nothing spectacular. It wasn't until the top floor that I was really impressed with the china room and a few other neat rooms that have been perserved for over 300 years. The real attractions were in the basement, the crown jewels and other beautiful jewelery which definitley made the whole trip worthwhile. There is also a lof of other neat things in the basement. The grounds are beautiful too! My 15 month old son was not interested in much of it, but he did enjoy staring at the ceiling most of the time which is actually quite interesting! Our friends had thier 4 and 6 year old daughters who really enjoyed the whole castle.
