We were walking along and happened by the marble church. The large sculptures near the base of the dome are exquisite. We were not able to go inside, however were able to walk around the front and also visited the back of this beautiful place.

Thank wellsdp

No entrance fee unless you climb up to the tower. Beautiful interior, very subdued and peaceful. Concerts are held at different times and it would be good to include one in your visit if you can check the schedules

This church is popularly known as the marble church and was supposed to be modeled after St. Peter's in Rome. But Frederik V ran out of money and when the project resumed, it was built of limestone. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful church with a dome that offers views of the harbor and the bridge to Sweden.
Across the street is the winter residence of the Royal Family. A changing of the guard takes place daily. There is also a museum and a statue of Frederik V on horseback.

This is a beautiful piece of architecture, close to the amalienborg palace, you can get breathtaking views while on one of the canal tours.
Spend some time enjoying the beauty of it.

Great exterior and wonderful interiors and you are allowed to walk on the dome. We didn't spend much time inside the church. Its right opposite Amalienborg Palace and should be a stop in your itinerary when you visit the palace.
