Visited last Saturday Evening whilst visiting the city. Bought entrance tickets without any rides which was £32 for 2 adults, expensive but worth it. We went early evening so could see the gardens in daylight and at night. Worth seeing both to see the contrast. Being a Saturday night, loved the entertainment on offer, illuminations, band and fireworks just before midnight. Without the entertainment probably only need 2 hours without any rides, but the entertainment kept us abused for 5-6 hours. We went on the oldest wooden rollercoaster ride which was just under £8 each. Definitely worth buying entrance ticket with unlimited rides if want more than 1 ride because individual rides as so expensive. Rides suitable for all ages, majority targeted at children. There were plenty of places to eat whilst waiting, we chose wagamamas which was same price as UK. Also plenty of bars which were decently price too. Definitely recommend to visit on a Saturday night over the summer for their entertainment on the evening for the extra touch!

We were both really excited to go to Tivoli but appalled to see the pricing!
We had the Copenhagen Card, which gives you free access, but rides were 30, 60 or 90 DKK. None of the rides were worth £10! This might be ok if you buy the unlimited rides ticket, but this ticket was still very expensive AND didn't include all the rides.
Seems silly for a place to charge entry, and then charge to do anything within the park (ride, eat, shop, etc.)
All we could do was walk around, which was nice but we felt incredibly disappointed by the pricing. Either Tivoli or the Copenhagen Card need to work on that.

We decided to go since it was on the Copenhagen Card and its lovely - we had some quick food (Fridkadllen meatballs - very good) and ate them on chairs provided on the green - sat there while a band passed and a peacock traveled around. The gardens are so lovely, and we enjoyed a free concert ( I think because it was a monday night). It was just wonderful to walk around and enjoy the early evening.

We visited here 35 years ago and guess what? Nothing much has changed. While the rides have changed, the entertainment remains much the same (hint: go to the Tivoli Market and get an outside table to drink a beer/grab some food while watching one of the stages;as well as people watch, without paying an entry fee). Speaking of rides, some are insane, particularly the high swing and the dive bomber (no way I would do either). We bought an expensive entry-only, no rides ticket (got a strange look for that purchase). We just wanted to see it and walk around after dinner. We spent a few hours wandering, inspecting the way too numerous eateries/restaurants (how many were there-yikes!) and amusements. Everything was typically expensive as with most amusement parks, so we made no purchases. We did see many unattached teens and youngsters and I think that was a by-product of the location's safety. There was no scanning devices or bag check at entry. Having such a place that is safe and easily accessible is rare. The park does make an amazing use of space filling every nook and cranny possible but still it had an open airy feel. Waking about was pleasant as each area transitioned from carnival barker type areas to lakefront bucolics and picture worthy bridge stops.. Some of the buildings did have a dated appearance (some did appear to need some TLC) that reminded me of Disneyland/WDW in the 70's/80's. After all, wasn't this the inspiration for those locations! Night time lighting brings on a fantasy-like glow to the entire park. I did get the impression the people in the park were regulars, not day trippers. No roaming gangs of teens but small groups, couples and families. I would say this place was nothing special and kind of hokey old-school amusements but as I write this, in a way that is really kind of nice to see - a Time-Capsule worth opening.
