I know Walt Disney was inspired by this oldest of parks. It is small by Disney standards but beautiful flowers and gardens. Like Disney the food is expensive but plenty of restaurants of all kinds. We did see a delightful ballet show. I had always heard of it so had to visit.

I was in Copenhagen and definitely wanted to experience Tivoli Gardens and the Little Mermaid and also the old Carlsberg Brewery. After all, Tivoli is, I think, the oldest and most famous of all amusement parks in the world. Walt Disney visited Tivoli for inspiration for Disneyland. I was not disappointed. It's like an Old World Disneyland with beer gardens! It's more laid back than our theme parks that are chockful of death-defying rides. The main attractions here are the wonderful music venues on stages and in gazebos, and the boys marching band. It was all charming, and topped off with some great beers in their street of magical beer gardens! Yeah, I would definitely recommend it, and I would definitely go back!

Tivoli Gardens, located in the middle of the city is a wonderful place to visit for both young and old. There are more than 110,000 lamps throughout this beautifully landscaped garden, with lakes, pavilions, fountains, flowers, beautiful trees and many fairground attractions. I would definitely love to come back to Tivoli Gardens and Copenhagen again some day.

This is a beautiful garden/fun fair with lots of great restaurants, rides and flower arrangements. No neon lights but lots of light bulbs, a lake with a pirate ship restaurant, concert stages, theatres etc. If you are not interested in the rides a walk round looking at the flowers, having a meal or a cup of coffee/cake, or a drink can be recomm.ended. The Pantomime theatre has fantastic productions of various ballets, often with harlequin and columbine and pierrot, there are several other outdoor stages plus a theatre (Glas Salen) and a concert hall. Quite expensive to get in but well worth it. There are restaurants of various price ranges

We didn't go for the rides but they did look like a lot of fun for the younger people.
The park was beautiful with lots of neat buildings and plenty of flowers to see. We
ate at a very nice restaurant and had a lovely time. Wish we could had stayed longer
to see it once the lights came on. Well worth the time and money to see.
