Went here with my 11 year old son. We had such a good time we went back the next day. The gardens are so beautiful. Go for the multi-ride ticket and get there at 11 if you can when it opens before it gets busy. Rides are really really busy from 1300-1800. Most food is fried stuff and generally not brilliant so we opted for Wagamamas on both days which was good. Everything in Copenhagen costs lots so be prepared!

I don't like theme parks, I don't like rollercoasters andI don't like being charged a fortune for food and drink and yet I loved Tivoli! The whole atmosphere inside encapsulated what is good about Denmark. It was friendly, relaxed, informal and busy. My wife rode a few rollercoasters, I sat in the sun with a beer and watched the world go by. The hundred year old rollercoaster rattled by from time to time and there were live music and ballet shows......go visit and you'll see why it's such a national institution!

Tivoli gardens is not much impressive if you have visited amusement parks in other parts of the world. But it is a good place for children and adults if you want to spend some time in the evening in city centre. If you are visiting in the winter, then you won't get to visit this garden as it is closed from November. The gardens are open only during summer.

This was our 3rd visit to Tivoli - first time with our granddaughters (16 and 14). We have all visited Disneyland in the U.S. quite a few times and love it, but Tivoli has its own charm. It's really quite nice, and it's beautiful. Our granddaughters like rides we would never go on and found quite a few rides there that gave them what they like. We had purchased the Copenhagen Card which covered the entrance, and then we bought a ticket for unlimited rides. It really worked well and was a great day.

The amusement park is fun for kids with lots of rides for different ages. We went Sunday at 11am when it opens and had about 3 hours of rides without queuing, so go at opening time to avoid crowds.
