Fantastic at Xmas. Loved the rides and the food and mulled wine. So atmospheric. Queues to buy ride tickets are a bit long and confusing in terms of what is included and how many although assistants all spoke great English.

Tivoli is definitely one of the best and most beautiful places in Copenhagen. The second oldest amusement park in the world must not be one of the largest, but it's one of the most magical ones. They decorate it for Christmas, Halloween... and it makes the park look even prettier. If you are in Copenhagen and the park is opened, you must go there! It's a little expensive to get in, 95kr now, but it's totally worth it ;)

I maybe hadn't researched the Tivoli Gardens well enough before we entered and paid the fee. Rather than some lovely gardens in the heart of Copenhagen, it is a tacky amusement park with stalls, shows and rides. Halloween was totally overdone just to add to the disappointment.
The only highlight was going into the hotel Nimb and into the cafe which provided excellent sandwiches and coffee.
Should rebrand with Disney/Universal Studios.

Very pretty gardens and buildings. Went there for the afternoon and back in the evening on the same ticket, they stamp your hand if you want to leave and come back later. Really pretty in the evening with everything lit. Well worth a visit.

Tivoli is a paradise for children. It is big and there are many attractions, you can spend the whole day there. We visited Tivoli during Halloween, it was cold and rainy with showers during the day. It was not fun sitting on wet and cold carousels. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants where they serve hot drinks and where you can warm up. They sell a lot of stuff that children want so prepare to spend some money there :-)
