Very good place to have a perfect meal in the city center for a very reasonable price.About 350 kr for 3 people with drinks.
Be careful! HUGE portions)
Democratic atmosphere, many young people. We were the only family with kids
All walls decorated with book-shelves.

While visiting Copenhagen during the gloomy and dark days of December this was where i would go to warm up and have breakfast or lunch. It was always crowded with people especially a lot of students but was very cosy and i went back 3 times while i was there for the week. The food was good, the prices were reasonable by danish standards and the decor interesting as it was antique with modern and bookcases covered every wall.
This is one of the places that i would recommend to any friends visiting Copenhagen- its a must!

I didn't give it an excellent simply because although the food was good it wasn't amazing but the atmosphere was just so warm and inviting.

Our first meal in Copenhagen and we were pleasantly surprised to find such lovely food at around £22 for two. Yes it was just a herring platter and a tuna sandwich but huge portions, freshly made, and nicely presented and most importantly very tasty. Add to that a charming location and this all made for a great experience.

Copenhagen is awash with great places to eat and drink. The thing that sets this apart from those is its setting. You eat inside of a working book shop, albeit a book shop spread over three floors. Great food, informal atmosphere and a superb cheesecake make it a total find. This isn't a fine dining place, it's just a cosy place to have lunch or a quick bite to eat one evening.

Last time I was in Copenhagen, this became my favourite place so was delighted to see it is still around. Lovely atmosphere inside, simple good dishes, great range of teas. Affordable. It's a student haunt, so if you are after haute cuisine this is not the place for you - it's a simple, atmospheric cafe.
