Stayed for business. Definitely ask for room above 8th floor facing canal. 10th fl has snacks. Currently, railway construction on other side of hotel. Lights, TV, air conditioning didn't work in room. Very frustrating.
Use bus in front of hotel instead of expensive taxis. Bus is clean, cheap and convenient. Get tickets at concierge.

Dear Traveler,

Thank you for reviewing Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center. I am sorry to read that your room wasn’t functioning well. As the electricity in the rooms activates when putting the room key-card into a small box next to the door, I wonder if you didn’t do that? It sounds strange to me that nothing worked, but I will of course let our technician know in order to check the room.
I am happy that you took advantage of the bus 11A.

I hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming your again in the future.

Yours sincerely,
Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center

I stayed here for a conference and this hotel simply did not live up. The hotel is too big, aims to service both families and conference attendees and is a miss, at least for business. I would recommend it for families, but hope not to return for a conference here.

The hardest thing for me about this hotel was its substandard food, combined with a wasteland location. The hotel is located in a wasteland, only 15 minute walk from train station and Tivoli, but if you are staying at a conference 30 minutes overhead to venture for edible food is too much. The hotel has a terrible terrible restaurant (Tivoli Brasserie), food is expensive, everything is swimming in either cheap cream or mayonnaise, the hotel has yet to learn what a vegetable is. It has been a while since I was forced to eat such fattening unappetizing food. The alternative is a ridiculously over-priced and over-hyped, very expensive and very mediocre sushi place.

The best thing is when I did have time to venture out of the hotel for real food. The concierge never missed in excellent suggestions. Denmark is foodie heaven, as long as you venture far enough from the hotel.

Rooms are fairly large by European standards, with a decent bed. Not a great bed, but comfortable enough. Unfortunately, rooms were often not cleaned well enough and amenities were not replenished. Often my room was not cleaned by 5pm, not enough housekeeping staff and these did a poor job. Also, shower was terrible, non-consistent (typically weak) stream of water that constantly changed temperature and flooded the bathroom (open shower with nothing blocking the water to the rest of the bathroom). Needed a ton of towels not to slip on floor. These were often left on floor and not replenished after housekeeping!

Beautiful pool, 17m long enough for some lap swimming, decorated in a really fun atmosphere, quite an amazing and unique design. Sadly, constantly full and overcrowded with screaming kids. Could enjoy it only one of the times I came down.

With some changes: better food, better housekeeping, separate facilities for family and business / conference attendees, this could be a great place. But currently a big miss.

We stayed here for one night before departing on a Baltic cruise. We arrived at the hotel, exhausted, at 2pm after a long overnight international flight and were told we would have to wait until the exact check in time of 3pm to get our room...unless of course we wanted to pay to upgrade our room which would cost about $100 USD...no thanks. So we waited it out on the couch in the lobby for an hour.

The hotel was in a pretty good location, walking distance to the central train station and Tivoli gardens (10-15 minutes)...but definitely not walking distance to the Nyhavn/Little Mermaid Statue area. That cost us $40USD each way in a cab. Wish we would have just paid extra to stay in that area instead of wasting money on taxi fare. There wasn't much going on near the Tivoli hotel, it's in a more industrial area of the city. We had a drink at the hotel's skybar which was cool, but very crowded on a Saturday night, seems to be the top sushi place in Copenhagen.

The hotel had tons of families/children and the decor was a little on the tacky side with the carnival theme but overall the rooms were spacious, clean, and had a large bathroom for european standards. Beds were comfortable too.

We paid extra for the buffet breakfast which was definitely a good value in my opinion. They had a great hot and cold spread/selection and kept refilling everything on a regular basis.

I stayed in this hotel for two nights. Overall the hotel is good - very clean, nice rooms, central location.

The hotel is about a five minute walk from Central Station and also from a large shopping centre.

The rooms are reasonably sized, well maintained and clean. There hotel is circus themed so the decor is quite colourful and unique. There is free Wifi and a nice working area in each room.

There are two restaurants in the hotel - a sushi bar and the main restaurant. Both are quite expensive. The food is good but overpriced. Breakfast was very good - nice selection of food but a very busy service.

A decent choice if you want to explore Copenhagen

Nice basic hotels with good size rooms of Copenhagen, clean and have an ok breakfast. The train station behind the hotel is noisy at night, if you need full quietness to sleep.
Walking distance to Tivoli garden, a mall with movie theater and to downtown in general.

Room Tip: Make sure that your room is not on the railway side
