“Sparse and utilitarian comes to mind”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

It was clean and easy to get to via Metro from airport for one night before a cruise. It was about the size of a dormitory room and furnished the same way. Sparse and utilitarian comes to mind. And it cost $150+.

Stayed at this hotel for one night on a business trip. Convenient location, between Kastrup airport and downtown Copenhagen. Very small rooms (a given from the name and the communication when I booked), but clean and quite comfortable. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Best of all: Very inexpensive on Copenhagen standard. Good value - probably closer to three and a half star than four (quite a gap between average and very good...).

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing away from the street in front of the hotel. The sound of the early morning...

My visit to Copenhagen was just for the weekend, stayed for one night.
Looked up the hotel on the internet and I did not expect much, I was hoping for the best.

Surprisingly though, the hotel was quite nice and clean for a budget hotel.
If you dont want to pay a lot and you look for a place to crash, this place is a good choice because it has all you need, and you get a good night's sleep, very basic but good.

We stayed in a family room, we were 4, so it was perfect (2 bunk beds).
Good thing is that WIFI is complimentary.
The Parking is not, but whatever.

Location, not in the city center, but driving was about 10mins or so (depending on the traffic).
We did have a car, so it did not matter to us that is was a bit out of the city center.

I stayed in Metro CabInn Hotel for a night on June 19, 2011 before moving to another CabInn hotel near Tivoli. I went for this hotel bcz it was the only one I could find at midnight on a rainy summer night. Copenhagen is a city that closes early, so finding a hotel on a stormy night is pleasant at alllll. This was the only hotel i found, it cost me 500 DKK nearly 70 euros on a bed basis only without breakfast. The rooms are extremely small, you feel like you are in a prison cell, the bathroom were worse. It was literally a 1meter by 1 meter bathroom, were u had the toilet shower and sink, so you can imagine how painful and annoying was that. If you would ask me whether i would return to the hotel, I will say def not, but it will always remain an option for any person visiting Copenhagen because the city is very expensive.

At first I judge it "poor but essential", but actually the bathroom was so small and unconfortable that I usually preferred to use the public one on the ground floor (also if it wasn't very clean), going down the stair for 6 floors (the elevator was so slow to the point of being useless)...
I must also observe that we were four (4) but our room was nearly as small as the single room...
No one cleaned the room on 3 days...even though we had specifically requested it after the first night...
The receptionist was very confused and didn't know the price of the room...

Position: situated outside the city, but reachable via subway in 15 minutes if you catch the right train.
From the stop it's a good 600 meters walk, with the big shopping mall Field's in between.

Rooms: Yes, the rooms are small. We were 4 adults, the main problem was where to put 4 suitcases and our things and the bathroom size. Not so good ventilation...our first room was changed because couldn't open the window. The absence of a shower basin was a major flaw, after a shower there was water everywhere. The shower head is small, fixed to the ceiling and can't be oriented. Since there's only 1 command for the temperature of both shower and washbasin, you have to remember to set it properly before use...otherwise, since the small size of the bathroom, you can have a shower when you just wanted to brush your theet.
On our second day we hadn't our room cleaned, so we made a complaint to the reception in the afternoon but with no effect (then we left the next day).

Facilities: You can have breakfast (at about 10 euro). Good buffet, but basic, crowded in the weekend, but manageable. There's a free wifi internet and it worked well, even in the room. Elevators could have a better logic, sometimes taking the stairs was faster (on fifth floor).
