Chose this place due to October sunshine. Had danish sandwiches, beer and "snaps" (which was poured to the absolute top of the glass!). Location and atmosphere very nice, food good.

In good weather, Nyhavn is a pleasant place for a meal or a drink and a little people-watching. We had dinner outside here. The menu was limited and the steak was only average, but the pumpkin seed salad was interesting and the service was good, and we enjoyed our evening.

Wanted to try dinner at Nyhavn, chose this restaurant and was disappointed.
Ordered Pumpkin seed salad: tasty. Then lamb chops: 3 miniscule chops,
5 minuscule potatoes the size of a quarter, one asparagus spear. Give me
a break please. Ridiculously expensive and felt I was taken advantage of.
Did not enjoy this place. Do not recommend.

Apparently visited by tourists and locals alike, this small restaurant offers very good food at a good price (if you are Danish - beware of exchange rates!). A combination of international food (a very good burger) and danish cuisine (it has a herring buffet menu for lunch and a 'Traditional Danish dish" for dinner). I had this dish that was pork mince, wrapped in cabbage and baked with boiled potatoes and a cabbage white sauce. It was very tasty.

Two main courses, a juice and a beer came to £45, but that isn't a reflection on this restaurant, just that Denmark is an expensive place to visit.

I took the menu set with a very interesting pumpkin seed salad and steak. Waiters were very friendly and always smiling. Free IHT newspaper by the fireplace. Loved it.
