Everything in this hotel is beautiful - there is not one mistake in the decor. If you stay there on the weekend, however, be prepared to be part of the happenings at Tivoli. We loved looking out at the gardens and the stage, but be prepared for music and shows sometimes. The soundproofing could be better.

The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Since the hotel is so small (14 rooms) they know you after the first day. And the staff actually talk to each other so everyone knows what your preferences are. There is a fantastic bar with fireplace and a great bartender, as well. There are fireplaces in the rooms, but we just enjoyed sitting in the bar.

We ate at 3 of their restaurants, including the new gourmet restaurant, Louise, and found the food to be refreshing, Nordic and worth the price.

Room Tip: Room 8 faces the gardens and the sound stage, but is beautiful. Room 13 faces the back, so doesn'...

We arrived after long flight from West Coast USA. Easy 13 minute train from airport to main train station. Then walk across street to Nimb. (Tip: need to have DKK change, or a European credit card with chip to buy train tickets from the machines, otherwise long line to buy tickets at windows with US credit cards or Danish paper money. They don't sell tickets on train, but after we bought tickets, no one ever asked for ours?)
(Tip: It's $50-75 for cab, so train good sense & just as fast as cab.)
From train station see the back of hotel and it looks plain, the front is inside Tivoli Gardens, and very ornate. Just head out front of station cross street to two story long white building.
Ask for room with bath & fireplace, only one room (#14) doesn't have these, and is the only room that doesn't face Tivoli Gardens.
We got room #14 the first night but staff was very nice and moved us to room #1 for our next two nights. Hotel only 14 rooms. We only saw #1 & #14. (Best tip, any room but #14.)
Rooms have the Danish B & O electronics. They look pretty but very difficult to use. We never got phone to work. WiFi is included and very fast in our room. We had iPads, but hotel will loan you one while there, if needed.
Breakfast included was continental, can order more, but at rates on menu. They did include cappuccinos and lattes, which was nice.
Also, free admission to Tivoli Gardens (outside hotel) is included with your stay.
Location is five minute walk to town hall square and access to the pedestrian only shopping streets. At far end of shopping street (about 15-20 minute walk), is Nynhvn, ( new harbor), where canal tour boats leave from, and it's great spot for photos.
We were very happy with this hotel. The desk staff were extremely helpful with changing our room when we were unhappy with room #14, and gave us great advice on restaurants, transportation, activities etc. The downside of hotel is noise. #14 faces street where there is construction during weekdays. On the Tivoli side, their is noise of park, concerts at night, and activity on terraces of hotel lounge and bar below. Park closes at midnight, but hotel activity goes a bit longer. But, minus the noise factor, which we really didn't mind, we found nothing about this hotel we didn't like!!

Didn't actually stay here but celebrated New Years Eve in 2010 at the hotel. It was a truly memorable experience! The location is perfect, opposite the station and right on Tivoli. I loved the different areas of the hotel, we started in the wine cellar downstairs which is lovely. We then dined in the brasserie, food was literally amazing with great wine pairing. Afterwards we watched the fireworks on the terrace overlooking tivoli, as you can imagine this was a real buzz. Finally we went upstairs to another bar/lounge area where there was a live PA then a DJ. What a night, so well run and the hotel itself looked fab. I had wanted to stay but decided to spend the money on the doo. Would love to go back and actually stay!!!

Copenhagen is lovely and to stay at the Nimb is like living in a fairytale. You wake up and go to sleep in magical surroundings. It is expensive but worth it. Staff is great, attentive and has got good knowledge. They recommended some very cool restaurants. Breakfast is just divine, Scandi baked breads etc, very vey nice. Teamed up with Noma it was a very memorable stay.

Room Tip: Any facing the Tivoli gardens - just divine.

This hotel has personality. The staff are gracious, the rooms comfortable and the luxury understated, but ever present.
Best Things: The bar is great as is the Wine room downstairs. Food is very high quality. Staff are very friendly. The gourmet hot dog at the Anderson Bakery next door.
Worst things: Lack of Wardrobe space (2 of us stayed for a week) and no shoehorn despite asking for it. The damn peacock at 6.30 am

They dont have an on site gym but give you access to a top gym 5 mins away
Would stay again in a heartbeat

When travelling on business I always prefer to stay in boutique hotels, the Nimb Hotel encapsulates this perfectly and is beautifully decorated and warm. The rooms are comfortable with a gorgeous view over the Tivoli and I found the staff to be attentive and genuine. However, the real highlight of my stay was dining at Hermann which was one of the most extraordinary dining experiences I have had the pleasure of going to. The waitress was superb she took us on the incredible food journey that I feel will never be repeated anywhere in the World unless I simply go back!

Our view out the window into Tivoli was phenomenal. Peacocks, ducks, marching bands, fantastic fountains, anything you could imagine. Lots of fun.

And the staff was really very nice and helpful for the most part, especially when trying to correct the many problems.

BUT.....

The walls were so thin we could hear the people in the next room talking. Couldn't sleep well at all. The floors were all wood without carpet so people walking outside in the hallway sounded like a herd of elephants.

The food was mediocre, but the service was even worse. In the Brasserie, we had to wait a half hour for a waiter to come and ask us for drinks and give us the menu + another half hour to get the appetizers + another half hour to get the entrees + etc. You get the idea. Awful!

The bar of soap in the room was so small that it was just silly. The maid service was really spotty. Sometimes we got towels and sometimes we didn't. There was virtually no closet space. No drawers to speak of. The phone was unusable. At least the internet was included in the outrageous cost of the room.

They didn't even have a gym! It's the first hotel in years that I've been in that didn't have a gym.

I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that I'd never go back.

Room Tip: Don't go!
