“Comfortable”
Reviewed September 15, 2013 via mobile

We stayed four days in September. Pros included: daily breakfast at 7:00 during the week and 7:30 in the weekends with a larger than expected variety to eat (scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, breads and spreads, cold meats and cheeses, tomato and mozzarella salad, muesli, kefir, coffee, tea, juices), plenty of space with high ceilings, clean and comfortable, wardrobe, hair dryer, refrigerator, luggage rack, walk in shower, table and two chairs, electric kettle to make tea, lots of newspapers in the common area, 15% discount for "longer stay", 5A bus straight to or from the airport, a 10 minute or so walk to a main metro station, flat screen TVs, super nice staff, room darkening shade or a second shade which lets more light through. Cons were: very lively street, so windows closed seemed to be necessary, no elevator to reception, tight toilet area, hallways could use a carpet update or repair, inadequate pillows for sitting up in bed. Would we stay again? Yes. We don't have a lot to compare it to but felt the value was good for Copenhagen and the room (123) was at least twice the size of another hotel we stayed at.

We spent 2 days in Copenhagen before getting on a cruise ship headed for the Norwegian fjords. After the cruise, we flew to Iceland for 2 nights and since we didn't want to take all of our luggage, we asked if we could store it at the Hotel Nora, which is where we had reservations for 4 more nights when we returned from Iceland. They were more than accommodating in storing our luggage. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. No elevator in the hotel, so carrying luggage was hard, but once done, fine.

Room Tip: No air conditioning in the rooms we had, but we were able to open the windows for fresh air. The on...

Top location 100m from the city lakes (great for jogging in the morning), all attractiins in walking distance, cosy family type place. Fiendly reception staff.
Uncharming rooms, spartaneous bathroom with just a curtain separating the shower from the rest of the room. Breakfast with what needs to be there (packed cheese, cereals, yoghurt, scrambled eggs - but no other type) self service like in a youth hostel. I wont stay there again.

Pro is that the hotel is nice and rooms are nice. Nice little fridge with one free water and beer pr person the first night. But wifi was at most zero or one line. I was promised breakfast FROM 7am (important for me) - well no. Bread and other essentials items was not ready before 7.07. Bad if you have to leave by 7.15-7.20.
Noise from the street was bad thorough the night - even for Copenhagen (this might be solved by asked for a room away from the street).
I can not recommend this hotel (wifi, breakfast and noise).
The hotel is fine - but as I saw it - well no.
I am danish and I often travel to Cph. I wanted to try a new hotel based on the reviews here, but will find other hotels. The pice I paid was 1000 DKK with breakfast pr night (at the price a second person could have stayed without extra cost).
You have to check in by 8 pm - or by apporintment
PS
The are no lift/escalator (I was travelling light, som no problem - but with heavy luggage

Room Tip: Away from Noerrebrogade

Stayed here for three nights. The room is acute size which was perfect for two. Cam with complementary tea, coffee, and carlsberg! ( if only I drank beer), tv scree, free wifi, and small table and chairs and cute pots of flowers to brighten up the rooms. Can be a little noisy so not for the light sleepers. I tended to wake at 4 am and then fall back to sleep. Breakfast is from 7-730 with the usual suspects and quite tasty. Only down sides were the stairs and lots of them, there is no lift, and wifi can be patchy. Staff are very pleasant and not in your face. It was cheap and cheerful and met our general needs. The neighbourhood is also a nice and safe kind of edgy and easy to navigate into city centre. Planning to come back again for final night in Denmark at the end of our trip

We thought the hotel was quite expensive for what it provided, but it may be entirely in line with the going rate for Copenhagen.

Good points:
- Fairly quiet (we had asked for a room overlooking the road, which may have been slightly noisier, but this wasn't provided in any event)
- Front entrance and outside gate locked at night (could enter using room key)
- Friendly staff
- Room clean and tidy
- Free bottles of water (and, surprisingly, beer!) in refrigerator on arrival
- Breakfast provisions were okay
- Fairly central location
- Could usually find some English-speaking programmes on the TV

Slightly less favourable points:
- No elevator, so it's quite a climb if you're on a higher floor!
- No a/c (although we would have been aware of this on booking) and room got very warm even with window open
- Breakfast only served from around 7.30 a.m. (although you could go in a little earlier)
- Room quite small, especially the toilet/shower room
- No safe in room (but didn't feel particularly at risk)

Overall, it was a pleasant stay. We would consider staying there again if we ever return to Copenhagen, but would also want to consider other options.

Friendly people, good location, nice breakfast, clean rooms and comfortable beds - pretty much all you need from a hotel. Added good points are good and free internet access. Attention to detail is good; I emailed ahead asking for a quiet room, and was allocated one that ensured a good night's sleep. Tea/coffee making facilities an added plus

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room, it probably makes sense to ask for one in advance. Also, it's a Europ...
