I think at least one other person described Lalandia this way and it's a fairly accurate description. It has a range of activities and Legoland is a short walk away. Many of the properties are detached and whilst they're close together we never felt too overlooked. Many of the cottages are very new so it will probably improve as the trees and bushes grow up a bit. Inside they are well decorated with tiled floors in the bathroom and communal areas and carpets in the bedroom. The blinds could be a bit darker but they weren't too bad in the bright mornings. The beds were reasonably comfortable and the kitchen had a decent range of equipment for self catering. As a Brit in Sweden I've got used to some places expecting you to bring your own sheets and towels or pay extra so this wasn't a shock - it can be a pain if you're trying to pack light. Paying for electricity and water was a new one on me but it seems to be standard for Danish holiday homes.
The water park was good for people with young kids with plenty of slides and features aimed at under 8s. The bigger slides tended to require the use of various rings and mats so I don't know if that would be exciting enough for older teenagers. Families using the four way inflatable slides seemed to be enjoying themselves but there was a minimum height of 120cm so we missed out on this one. The other big slides were 110cm and 100cm. There was also a large indoor play area with ball pens, ropes and slides. This and the waterpark were both included in the cost of the accommodation but there were a range of indoor activities that you could pay extra for including minigolf, ice skating, climbing and rather bizarrely skiing. The slope looked so short it was hard to see how well it would work.
There were several onsite restaurants but some of these only open in the evening and there seemed to be an emphasis on buffet menus. The Cafe Plaza had a menu with more choices but I'm still unsure whether I got food poisoning from here or from food that I bought from the onsite supermarket. The supermarket wasn't cheap but then nowhere in Denmark is. Several hotels in the area have nicer a la carte options and we had two good meals at the Hotel Propellen.
Overall I think that about 4 nights would be about right if you wanted to use it as a base for Legoland as well. Pool admission is included for the duration of your stay including arrival and departure days.
