It was a very excellent visit. The service was great and so was the food & tea. Time stops when you are in Perch's.

We had the classic tea ceremony with a glass of cremant. The quality of the food and drink in general was high, particularly the scones are among the best I've had.
The sandwiches were very fresh (don't know if the classic cucumber sandwich is also available, but we did not get it). The cakes were also of high quality, not a great variety, but as we were already struggling to finish it after the scones and sandwiches, it was actually nice not to leave good cake behind!
I loved the fact that the waiters/tea specialists carefully brew the tea to perfection (scaling the right amount of tea and timing the brewing time). At other most other places (including the otherwise excellent Claridge's and Emirates Palace), the tea keeps sitting in the pot, making it bitter.
Two minor let-downs: The chairs are rather uncomfortable and there's no clotted cream, but whipped cream with the scones. Otherwise, it was a very nice experience and we'll be back!

We are espresso drinkers but we couldn’t resist this historic tea room and tea shop named after Danish tea merchant Niels Brock Perch. The interior is cosy and the food is well-presented. By way of light lunch we had a prawn salad and an assortment of sandwiches, accompanied by a Pouchkine and a Green Palace tea, as suggested by our friendly waitress. The food was good and both teas were excellent. But luxury comes at a price.

This is an absolute gem with a restaurant upstairs and downstairs shop selling the most amazing selection of teas. We enjoyed a delicious lunch in the restaurant and afterwards purchased a selection of teas. Would thoroughly recommend.

I was there with a friend and we enjoyed it. It's a small place and it's very famous so I recommend that you book a table as we had to wait an hour to get a table. The tea were good, we had an African tea from Kenya. We also ordered scones, finger sandwiches and small pieces of cake - which all were good especially the scones! The tables are really low and the that's also the main reason why I haven't given the place 5 stars - you simply don't sit comfortable.
