“very pleasant, quiet hotel”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

I stayed here a few months ago for two nights. I was slightly worried about the noise from the trains after reading the reviews here, but I have noticed nothing at all.
Conveniently located very close to the railway station. Nice quiet atmosphere, great style, friendly staff, good breakfast with nice fresh fruit and bread selection. I will come back some day when the weather is better to use the courtyard!

I stayed on a short business trip, after spending couple of months in the UAE. People complain about the noise from the railway, however I had the windows closed so it was ok.
If you want to park, make sure you book a space.
You could kill someone (not that I would) with the B&O TV remotes in the rooms!
Breakfast is basic but good and the hotel is close enough to the City Center to make it possible to walk, but not close enough to get disturbed by the late night revelers.
I could do with a proper indoor bar area.
Will/Would stay again.

Room Tip: If you don't like trains try to get a room on the back of the hotel

We stayed here for one night when going to Aarhus in Sept 2012 for a relaxing weekend break. We were really impressed with the Hotel Oasia and enjoyed our stay immensely.
Location: Really convenient, minutes walk from the railway station and centre of town. The shuttle from the airport also drops off at the railway station so easy with any luggage.
Room: The style of the hotel is of beautifully elegant design. Stayed in one of the 'design' rooms, the Kallemo room, and was impressed with the signature pieces in the room. Super comfy bed and B&O telly and phone. In my opinion, the hotel could highlight the unique features of each design room a little more.
Service: The staff were all polite and efficient. We had good correspondence via email when booking. More than that, the staff were really friendly and easy going which suits the mood of the hotel. Initially the desk staff could not tell us something, but they took the effort to find out. The breakfast buffet was a reasonable selection of hot and cold food- which did run out at times, but the staff did their best to keep it all topped up.
Overall: If you find yourself in Aarhus, then the Hotel Oasia provides a stylish and well located base. We would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Design rooms are worth the little extra.

I have stayed at this hotel twice, which says something in itself. It's a stones throw from the main railway station and Ryesgade, the pedestrian precinct around which Aarhus revolves. The first time I stayed I had a double room, which I would recommend, well-furnished, clean and comfortable although finding the balance between the heating and fresh air can be a challenge.

The hotel has invested in excellent (Hästens?) beds so these ensure a good night's sleep. The second time I took a single room and this felt very bare, B&O telephones are one thing but the feeling this time was a little too "Scandinavian-functionality" - my advice, if you can, take a double.
The real highlight is the excellent breakfast - a huge range of meats, cereals, breads, cheeses, eggs, bacon, fruit, juice and so on, all beautifully presented. I will stay there again. And if you're eating out, Aarhus has heaps of excellent restaurants...

I stayed here for 3 nights. It was a single room, so it was small, but clean with nice decor. My room was facing the enclosed parking area, though my rental was parked down the street due to size limitations. The hotel was nice and quiet with a good breakfast and you could go to the eating area any time and get warm drinks. It was also in a good location and everything in town was walkable from here.
The only concern I had was that I sent out 3 items of clothing to be cleaned (which cost about $50 -75, if I recall) and they came back smelling burnt, it was so bad I couldn't wear them until I was able to wash them again.

We stayed in City Hotel Oasia for the first time for a long weekend in September, and cant wait to go back again! The hotel is really beautiful, both stylish and comfortable. The beds are fantastic, best nights sleep in a long time! We booked a design room and had no issues with space, our room was at the front of the building over looking the train station but the rooms have triple glazing and the noise is really not an issue. Also there is free wifi through out the hotel which is such a bonus.

The breakfast was terrific, a helpful yourself buffer with plenty of options, cereals, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, cold meats, cheeses, pastries, fruit - everything you could want. There is also free tea & coffee 24 hours a day.

We dealt with several members of staff and there were all really super helpful, friendly and spoke perfect English. The hotel location is excellent it is less than 5 mins to Aros, and 5 mins to central Aarhus.

Overall, we found this hotel to be excellent value for money, great location, stylish and would definitely recommend it.

Stayed here for a second time and enjoyed my stay even more. The rooms are not large, but then this is a repurposed older building that was not designed to be overly spacious to begin with. I am a light traveller and can make do with very little luggage and therefore found the room to be fine (but I do advise not to arrive with outsized luggage and to expect to unpack it all). The beds - Hastens as advertised - are simply fantastic and made for a brilliant rest, probably one of the best beds ever. Both times I stayed on the side of the rail track but did not find it noisy at all (and I usually sleep with ear plugs in most hotels to block out airco, etc.). The breakfast is DIY, filling and no-frills and therefore just as I like it.
As pretty much everywhere in Denmark helpful and friendly staff who speak perfect English.
A very short walk from the station and close to everything in the center of town.
I very much liked the design focus of the hotel: unlike boutique hotels elsewhere in the world that aspire to "design" this hotel truly celebrates good (predominantly Danish) design.
My verdict: will stay here again and again (and in fact, will stay here next month after rebooking from the designated conference hotel elsewhere in town).

Room Tip: Rooms in front are more sunny, rooms at back face parking lot and could be more quiet I suppose for...
