We visited Aalborg (a nice and lively town) to visit the site of my friend's uncle's crash in the Limfjord on August 13, 1940 in World War II after being shot down (See Youtube). We stayed in the Hotel Chagall for 3 nights in late June 2013.

The recently updated hotel was a jewel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. Its location is quite central in Aalborg, and within walking distance of the station.
We would definitely stay there again.

We got directions from the Hotel staff and visited the Military & Garrison museum (well worth a visit) to pursue enquiries re the crash. Again the museum people were most helpful.

Room Tip: We were on the ground floor with a window to the street roomy enough with two single beds and it was...

I stayed at the hotel in October 2013 for two nights. I had a room, number 222 facing the yard. It was clean and quite. Wi-Fi was included but it was not so fast. I had to borrow the hair dryer in the reception. There was only tv in Danish. There was no safe in the room. However I can recommend the hotel. The staff were very nice.

We were treated in a way, which you wouldn't expect from this line of business.
At arrival we were told, that we could park free of charge in a parking lot across the street. It was dark, we were tired, so we took no further notice of that message.
Room was ok. Very noisy though.
Next morning there was a ticket on our car. I went and asked the receptionist how that could be. She appologized and told me, she had mistaken the weekdays. She took the ticket and said, she would take care of it, as she had mislead us.
Weeks later I receive a letter from the municipality urging me to pay the ticket.
I write the hotel. Now they refuse any involvement (in the most rude manner) and we were stuck with paying a ticket we were fooled into by the hotel. No class, no service.
Do not visit. You never know what they do next time!!

Stayed July 2013
