We received a night at the Kro or Inn from friends as a gift. It is beautifully situated on the fjord however there is a large coal dock almost in front of the inn which took away some of the view. The room we got was in the main building above the dining room. Nice size room but run down. The bed was a bit softer than we like. Great fjord view from the windows but on a very busy street. It was a warm evening/night but we had to close the windows because of the traffic and we could still here the cars. There was no shampoo in the shower and no hairdryer. They was internet and an older TV. The furniture in the room (sofa, table, chair) was dated. The carpeting needed cleaning. Breakfast was served in the typical danish Kro style.....on a platter in portions----2 slices of cheese, 2 slices of salami, 2 slices of another kind of danish lunchmeat, a small amount of jelly and two (very) soft boilied eggs, along with two rolls and 4 slices of white bread. Adequate but not exciting. We chose to have dinner at the inn. The food was just ok, large portions and good service. A very typical danish kro experience which cannot be compared to for example Holiday Inn or similiar. A good way to get the "danish feeling".
