I visited the museum which has the small childhood home attached at the rear. The entire place, including little square and businesses around the area is delightful. The musueum is very complete and requires several hours to absorb the impact he had on literature, and shows the contrast of how the world he lived in changed during his lifetime. Many of his books, and drawings are there to enjoy. The small house is quaint-- records show the family lived her but who exactly is not positive. I really thought this was a wonderful way to spend the morning in Odense and highly recommend it, Oh-- the gift shop is fabulous!
