“By far the BEST gourmet experience in Odense”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2014

Entering the World of No.61, is a fantastic culinaric experience, that you won't find anywhere else in Odense. The menu is fitted to the season and changes every month although some a la carte dishes don't. A 3 dishes gourmet dinner including wine at 65Euros, you won't find that a lot of Places. And gourmet it is My highest recommendations for this restaurant. BTW, come early and stay late, the Tapas/Wine bar is worth a visit.

Enjoy

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2013 via mobile

It's no mystery why No. 61 is nominated as the best brasserie in Denmark. Each month a new menu consisting of a choice between two appetisers, two main courses and two desserts and no matter what you choose you will seldom go home disappointed.

The price is reasonable.

“Quirky but fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013

A very limited selection (2 starters/2 mains/2 desserts) - Good wine list. All prepared and cooked in plain site - a very interesting twist on Danish cuisine -- worth the experience

“Excellent value for money - great food, cosy atmosphere, nice service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2012

This restaurant has its own charm in town first of all interior-wise, as one of the reviewers mentioned - shabby chic. That is so indeed, kind of vintage chairs and tables, plates, french signs creates relaxed atmosphere. Staff is relaxed too, so no need for formal dressing :)

Their menu is seasonal, so will vary. As they say at No61 you will get a carrot if you order a carrot. Cuisine is classic danish, european. You can expect selection of 2 starters, 2 main courses and 2 deserts, easy to make up your mind. As well one can go for 250g or 300g steak.

Price: 3 course dinner for 2 + bottle of wine = 130 eur. Such pricing is rather standard in restaurants around, but not everywhere you will get this quality.

I would not say portions are big, comparing to any other restaurant in the same price range. Rather they will leave you wanting just a bit more :)

Reservations:
You will need to make one prior. Best to go there, they are open for that from 14.00. They have two seating times. If you for 17.00 to 17.30 you can have table to 19.30, and if you book from 20.00, then oyu can have the table for the rest of the evening.

Opening time:
Thursday - Saturday, 17.00 - 24.00, kitchen closes at 22.00

“Honest good cooking and cosy atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2012

The restaurant is small and cosy with french shabby-chic decor. The menu is small but excellent and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We both had the phesant terrine with foie gras. The terrine was excellent and the salad with pickled lingonberries was a good match but as a whole the dish lacked in acidity.

The same was also the case for the main course which was quail with a really good sauce chasseur.
It is probably a matter of taste but for my liking both dishes could have used some acidity.

Everything is well made and with good ingredients and very reasonably priced.
One of my favorite places in Odense for a casual night out when you want good food at a very fair price.

You could if you wanted (because the portions are large) order just a main course and a glass of wine and be happy and full for just 260 DKK.
