“Good value here”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

It's not the Ritz, and we don't have the budget for it anyway, but it is a hotel with friendly staff, clean rooms, fantastic breakfast buffet, free parking and in a perfect location. We got a good walk in rate of approximately 130.00 ( Cdn). For Denmark that's good.

Room Tip: If you happen to be there on a Saturday, the market is right outside your door! People coming out of...

This is not a bad hotel, the staff are friendly, the restaurant has good food and the breakfast buffet is extensive. However, it is very old-style 1970s and the long corridors where each doorway has a metal frame give the feeling of being on a sea liner. The lighting in the rooms is weird with an automatic light in the doorway that doesn't go off until you lie down in bed and stop moving for five minutes.
But for me the worst thing was the gym. which should not be listed as a feature of this property. A couple of 1970s machines that don't work anymore and are not plugged in anyway plus a weights machine that doesn't function do not count as a gym. Hotels with good gyms are very hard to find. This absolutely isn't one of them. Odense in fact, doesn't have a hotel with a good gym.

Room Tip: Don't stay here for the gym

Absolutely not weath the money. Old un stylish and in polite minibar filling personal.
Great breakfast buffet though.
Overall unromantic place. The surroundins and location was not bad at all. Great with walking distance to most things through the charming old part of the town

Great location, but an old and dark hotel. The rooms are spacious and rather classy. Strange to see a king size bed with only one pilow and duvet (the room was ordered as a single room, but still...) and a minibar with no liquids:)

The restaurant is average, but the breakfast is great.

It's literally a five minute walk from the train station. The staff is terrific and if you can't speak Danish you will be okay. But you should try anyway!
The view from the windows is great, especially if you like cobble-stone streets. It has a similar feel to Germany as far as the architecture and the room is VERY cozy like an extra room in someone's home. Personally, I enjoy that kind of vibe and possibly, it's not for everyone.
If you're coming from a different country like the USA, you should consider bringing a plug socket adapter otherwise you will need to stroll down the streets toward the shopping "centrum". (Like me.) There are only european sockets.
Overall, I love it! Hopefully everyone will!

The hotel is located right in the centre of the city of Odense. For a hotel with its star rating, I have to say that it was disappointing. Room service waste was left in the corridors for periods in excess of 24 hours and taking after dinner drinks in the bar is certainly discouraged. Whilst the majority of the staff are very professional, there are members of the male restaurant staff who were rude to customers. This needs to be addressed due to the fact that for all the friendly service offered by the other staff at the hotel, the memory of poor service will remain. Additionally, the food offered was not to a standard I would expect in an establishment with this rating. I will not return to a Radisson hotel by choice in the future and this is largely due to my experience in this hotel.

Room Tip: Courtyard rooms are quieter.

This hotel is the best for location, centrally located to the Brandt's Klaedefabrik museum complex, and Hans Christian Anderson's home, and all the shops in the downtown area. Free parking and free internet. Nice host at the front desk. But location is about all I can say for it, it is attached to a Casino and you can tell by the noise you can hear in the rooms adjoining yours from people coming and going at all hours. The rooms need a redo, shabby and not a 10 on the clean scale, water was the big problem for me, smelled like sulphur, and tasted bad, went and got bottled water right away. But to leave on a high note, one of the best breakfast spreads I have ever had.
