Hotel Hesselet is a fine and comfortable hotel, located at a short distance from the Bridge over the big Belt. From the hotel you have a great view on the water and the bridge.
Rooms in the hotel are cosy. They have an indoor swimingpool too.
Breakfast is good.
The hotel prices and especially restaurant prices are high, but this is the case almost everywhere in Denmark.
Don't forget to visit Nyborgs old town too. It is lovely !

Room tip: Do have a room with a sea view !

Room was spacious, as was bath. Location was quiet. Dinner was white table clothes, but overly expensive for what it was. Felt a little dated, but in a pleasant way. Plenty of free parking was a plus since we had a car.

Sitting on a fine beach this hotel exudes the elegance of the bygone 60s era. Although just a bit worn, there are plenty of amenities including fast WiFi. The clientele are mostly sophisticated, older, well to do Danes. The swimming pool is indoors,as is the jacuzzi. There are multiple massage rooms and tennis courts.
Supper is somewhat formal and the Danish cuisine is excellent. This place is great for peace and quiet, older visitors or maybe a romantic weekend. Not for the young crowd or kids.

Hesselet is an older hotel style- and interior wise. It seems a bit outdated, but it is very cozy though and the location is great - very close to the water.
We had booked accomodation with coffee in the afternoon. The receptionist didn't mention the coffee when we checked in and we had to find out for ourselves where to get it and when. We had to call the restaurant/reception twice and wait 45 minutes for the coffee. Just a small thing but easily fixed if they want to be known for their great service
